ApplyAck gains trailing Degraded/DegradedReason (defaulted, so an old node's
DPS JSON or gRPC ack decodes exactly as before). mesh_transport.proto adds
ApplyAckMessage.degraded = 6 / optional degraded_reason = 7. OpcUaPublishActor
replies RebuildCompleted(Degraded, Reason) on every handler path when the
RebuildAddressSpace carries ReportOutcome.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Ef2ozxS7QPanGT8uoATbTe
A full RebuildAddressSpace recreated every native Part 9 condition inactive +
acknowledged, and when the alarm-tag set was unchanged (e.g. one
UnsTagReference added to an alarm-bearing raw tag) nothing re-told the new node
its state: the host does not re-subscribe for an unchanged set, and Galaxy /
OpcUaClient have no snapshot to replay anyway. Active alarms read normal until
their next device transition.
OtOpcUaNodeManager now captures each NATIVE condition's live state (from the
node, so a client-applied ack is kept) before the rebuild clears, restores it
when the same id is re-materialised native in the same apply, and reports ONE
condition event per restored off-normal condition at the new
IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink.CompleteAddressSpaceApply (after notifier wiring).
Unclaimed captures are discarded there, so a later re-add is fresh. Quality is
carried silently for normal conditions too (it is only re-annotated on a
connectivity edge). Scripted conditions are untouched (#487 re-asserts them).
OpcUaPublishActor calls CompleteAddressSpaceApply at the end of every apply.

MAJOR-1: R4's exact element-type match refused ScadaBridge's CLR-list
writes (its element types are only Boolean/Int32/Float/Double/String/
DateTime) to every Int16/UInt16/Byte/UInt32/Int64/UInt64 array node and a
Double list to a Float array. EvaluateEquipmentWriteStructure now converts
a numeric array of another numeric element type element-wise, CHECKED, into
the node's element type and hands the converted array back through
OnEquipmentTagWrite's ref value, so the node stores and the driver receives
the node's own type. Any out-of-range, fractional-to-integer, NaN/Inf-to-
integer or Float-overflowing element refuses the whole write BadTypeMismatch
(nothing dispatched) - so the UInt32 -> Int32 bit reinterpretation stays
closed. Non-numeric mismatches stay refused. The wrong 'no client relies on
a looser rule' comment is corrected.
MINOR-1: the array-value-to-scalar-node refusal broke writes back to
browse-committed array tags (committed scalar, isArray never set) on
pass-through drivers. It now applies only when the owning driver's scalar
encoder cannot take an array (DriverArrayWriteSupport.
RefusesArrayValueOnScalarTag: Modbus, S7), carried RawTagPlan.
ScalarRefusesArrayValue / UnsReferenceVariable.BackingScalarRefusesArrayValue
-> EnsureVariable(refuseArrayOnScalar) -> a per-node set in the node
manager. OpcUaClient/Galaxy/others keep pre-#610 dispatch. Not on the
classifier whitelist (driver-type edit rebuilds); a mirror whose flag
changes is recreated, not updated in place.

MeshGrpcBoundaryTests replaces the MeshClusterClientBoundaryTests deleted in step 1. Three
self-seeded single-member clusters sharing the ActorSystem name, joined ONLY by gRPC, driving
the REAL CentralCommunicationActor -> MeshGrpcCommandDialer -> Kestrel h2c ->
MeshCommandAuthInterceptor -> NodeCommandGrpcService -> NodeCommunicationActor -> EventStream:
1. No_cross_mesh_Akka_association_forms_between_central_and_either_site — the program's own
point, kept as a test rather than a live-gate note: each cluster stays single-member and
none ever holds another's address as a member.
2. One_dispatch_through_central_reaches_a_node_in_every_cluster_mesh — the fan, with each
site holding its OWN per-cluster PSK, so a dial that selected the wrong cluster's key
would be refused at the far side.
3. Falsifiability_control_a_dial_carrying_the_wrong_cluster_key_delivers_nothing — without
it, (2) cannot distinguish "the gRPC boundary carried it" from "something else in the
process did". The same node then accepts the right key, so the silence is the auth gate
and not a dead endpoint.
All three run fully offline — no Docker fixture — and pass.
Comment sweep across every remaining clusterclient|receptionist hit in src/ and tests/:
the program label becomes "mesh gRPC command plane", and every comment that described the
deleted transport as live now describes what actually runs (Dps = pair-local default,
Grpc = cross-mesh). mesh_transport.proto's header/service comments are reworded; no message,
field or enum is touched — the contract is locked. MeshCommActorPathTests is reshaped rather
than retired: the two paths still exist and still matter, but what a mismatch costs is now a
misleading Unavailable from the gRPC ingress rather than a silently dropped receptionist send.
The only surviving mentions of the old names are the ones that must survive: the fail-closed
rules that name "ClusterClient" as a retired value refused at boot, their tests, and this
test class's own account of what it replaces.
A browse-committed AB CIP / TwinCAT / FOCAS tag bound with its model's DEFAULT
data type, not the one the device reported. A browsed REAL committed as
`{"tagPath":"Pump_1_Speed","dataType":"DInt"}` — and those three drivers decode
the wire bytes by that field, not by the raw row's OPC UA DataType — so the tag
read four bytes of a float through an integer decoder and published a plausible
wrong number with no error raised anywhere. FOCAS was missed when #536 was filed.
The type is CARRIED, not derived. Reverse-mapping the leaf's driver-agnostic
DriverDataType looks like the smaller fix and is wrong: SInt/Int/DInt/USInt/UInt
all collapse into Int32 on the way out of the driver, so that version would bind
a 16-bit INT as a 32-bit DINT while appearing to fix the REAL. Drivers now state
their own type name on DriverAttributeInfo.NativeDataType, which reaches the
picker as AttributeInfo.AddressFields["dataType"] and the commit mapper from
there. A leaf that states nothing keeps the model default — the pre-#536
behaviour, kept deliberately as the fallback rather than a guess.
Numeric strings are refused before parsing: Enum.TryParse accepts "9" for any
enum and Enum.IsDefined then confirms it, so an unguarded parse would bind a tag
to a type nobody named. A test caught this in the first version of the guard.
--- and the other half, which the fixture was hiding ---
Test Connect on a device with NO authored tags — every AB CIP device at the
moment an operator first presses the button — reported "CIP handshake failed"
against a healthy controller. That was written down as a fixture limitation
("ab_server doesn't implement @raw_cpu_type"). Both halves of that were wrong:
* @raw_cpu_type is not a libplctag special tag at all (only @raw, @tags and
@udt/ are), so it goes out as an ordinary symbolic name that no controller
defines, and the controller's "tag does not exist" IS the successful answer.
* ab_server answered an unresolvable tag path with CIP 0x03 where a Logix
controller answers 0x04 — ErrorBadParam vs ErrorNotFound, which the probe
classifies oppositely. Fixed in vendored patch 0002.
* With the fixture then telling the truth, the real defect surfaced:
AbCipDriverProbe.IsReachableException matched the native C status spellings
("STATUS_NOT_FOUND"), but libplctag.NET throws with the MANAGED enum name
("ErrorNotFound"). Those substrings can never match, so the reachable
classification could not fire on the exception path — which is the path every
no-authored-tags probe takes. This was failing on real hardware too, not just
against the sim. It now recovers the Status and defers to IsReachableStatus,
so there is one classification rather than two that can drift.
Rejected: switching the fallback to @tags. libplctag builds a tag-listing tag
with NO network I/O, so it reports OK against any TCP listener — measured green
against a Mosquitto broker.
Verification: full solution suite green. Falsification runs confirm exactly the
intended tests go red — 9 for the type carry, 3 (the reachable statuses only) for
the probe classification. Live on docker-dev: browse-committed TestString/
Motor_Run/TestSINT now store String/Bool/SInt, alongside last session's
Pump_1_Speed still holding the wrong DInt. TestSINT is the falsifier — its row
DataType is Int32, identical to TestDINT's, so no reverse map could have produced
"SInt".
Known consequence: pre-existing browse-committed tags keep their wrong dataType;
the fix applies to new commits only.

Both `IDriver` members had no production call site. Their only consumer was
`MemoryTracking`, deleted with the driver-tier recycle machinery in #522, and
`GetMemoryFootprint`'s doc-comment claimed "polled every 30s by Core" — which
had not been true since v3, even before #522 removed the poller.
Owner decision on #525 was (a) delete rather than (b) build the process-wide
watchdog that would consume them. The driver-side implementations are in git
history and were mostly reusable; what was always missing is the trigger, and a
member nobody calls is how the misleading doc-comment survived this long.
Removed from `IDriver`, all 12 driver implementations, and every test stub —
plus the support code that existed only to feed them, which is the part a
member-only deletion would have left behind as dead weight:
- MTConnect's three per-entry byte-weight constants, its cached
`ProbeModelDataItemCount`, and `CountDataItems` — a full device-tree walk run
on every cache fill to populate a number with no remaining reader.
- OpcUaClient's `_discoveredNodeCount` field and the discovery-pass write to it.
- MQTT's `ApproxBytesPerAuthoredTag`.
Two behavioural notes, neither a change in what the software does:
- `AbCipTemplateCache` now has no production reset path. Its only caller was
AB CIP's flush, which itself had no caller — so nothing changes except how
visible the fact is. Recorded on the type, along with the correction that its
comment's claim about a device `ReinitializeAsync` also flushing it was never
true. A UDT redefined on a live controller keeps its stale shape until the
driver instance is rebuilt.
- MTConnect's `/probe` cache is still dropped, by `InvalidateProbeModel()` on an
Agent restart. That is now `internal` rather than `private` so the tests which
used the flush purely to empty the cache drive the real path instead — they
now cover a case that actually occurs in production. Several unrelated doc
comments cited `FlushOptionalCachesAsync` as the canonical CAS example and are
repointed to it.
Tests: the ones that existed only to assert on the removed members are deleted
(3 OpcUaClient, 3 Galaxy, 2 MQTT, 1 MTConnect, 1 AbCip). Worth noting one was
vacuous — `FlushOptionalCachesAsync_resets_footprint_counter` asserted a
footprint of 0 before the flush and 0 after with no discovery in between, so it
would have passed against a flush that did nothing at all.
Full suite green except 7 failures verified identical on master before and
after (4 AbLegacy integration with the compose profile down, 3
Host.IntegrationTests), checked by name rather than assumed.
Docs corrected where they described this as live: `DriverLifecycle.md` (which
carried the #525 placeholder), `drivers/AbCip.md`, `drivers/AbLegacy.md`, and
`v2/driver-stability.md` — whose "polls this every 30 s" + per-driver
`DriverConfig` memory budget were never built as written and are now banner-ed
as design intent rather than description.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015p7wGqy3YpZNCpDzTpGMKo
`Driver.Sql.Browser` referenced the runtime `Driver.Sql` project. The AdminUI
references that browser, so the whole SQL driver runtime — and
`ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Core` through it — sat in the AdminUI's build/deploy graph.
This is the same layering violation #512 removed from the MQTT browser, in a
second driver, and it is why #512's expected removal of `Core.dll` from the
AdminUI's output did not happen.
MEASURED, both directions, on a clean AdminUI build:
before: ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Core.dll + ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Driver.Sql.dll present
after: both absent
The old csproj comment's premise was sound and survives — the dialect's catalog
SQL *is* the browse engine, so it must be shared rather than duplicated. What
was wrong was the conclusion that sharing it required referencing the runtime
driver. `ISqlDialect`/`SqlServerDialect` depend on nothing in `Driver.Sql`, so
they move to a `.Dialect` leaf that both consume.
This is the `.Transport` shape, not the cheap one: `ISqlDialect` exposes
`DbProviderFactory` and `SqlServerDialect` returns `SqlClientFactory.Instance`,
so `.Contracts` (deliberately provider-free) cannot hold them. Assembly name is
`.Dialect`; the NAMESPACE stays `ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Driver.Sql`, matching the
`Driver.Mqtt.Transport` precedent — the extraction cost zero `using` changes.
Two dependencies the cut edge surfaced as the implicit ones they were:
- The AdminUI itself read `SqlDriver.DriverTypeName` in three places — the tag
editor map, the tag config validator, and the Sql address picker. All three
now read `DriverTypeNames.Sql`, which is exactly what that constant resolves
to and exactly the repoint `SqlDriverBrowser`'s own comment had deferred
until a factory was registered against the shared constant. One exists now.
- `SqlDriverFormContractTests` asserts the AdminUI form's emitted JSON against
the runtime factory that reads it, so it genuinely needs the runtime driver.
`AdminUI.Tests` now references it explicitly. A test project referencing a
runtime driver is fine — tests are not in the AdminUI's deploy graph.
New guard: `DriverBrowserLayeringTests` (Commons.Tests) scans the csproj graph
of every `*.Browser` project in the tree, transitively. It reads csproj files
rather than loaded assemblies because the cost is a build-graph cost — the
compiler emits no assembly reference for an unused `ProjectReference`, so
`MqttBrowserLayeringTests`' assembly-reference approach cannot see that case.
The two are complementary and each now points at the other.
Falsified three ways, each red then green again: the direct reference re-added
to the browser; the same reference one hop out via `.Dialect` (proving the walk
is really transitive); and both controls — browsers-discovered and
references-parsed — which exist so an empty discovery cannot pass the absence
assertion vacuously.
#526's claim that the reference "carries no comment at all" was wrong; it
carried a detailed one from the scaffold commit. Corrected on the issue and in
the design doc's project table, which had recorded the deviation as deliberate.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015p7wGqy3YpZNCpDzTpGMKo
#519 — a driver's OPC UA status code now reaches a client with its sub-code intact.
DriverInstanceActor projected the driver's uint onto a 3-state Good/Uncertain/Bad enum
and OtOpcUaNodeManager re-expanded Bad to a bare 0x80000000, so BadNoCommunication,
BadTypeMismatch and BadNotSupported were indistinguishable on the wire and every
driver's status constants (incl. the 16 #497 had just corrected) were diagnostic in
logs only. Resolved by option (b): the raw uint rides AttributeValuePublished ->
AttributeValueUpdate -> IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink.WriteValue, OpcUaQuality is deleted, and
severity classification is a helper (OpcUaStatus.IsGood/IsUncertain/IsBad).
The surface was wider than the issue costed (41 files, not "the sink and 3
implementations"): OpcUaQuality had non-driver producers with no uint to carry.
Each got its natural code — BadInternalError for a failed virtual-tag script,
BadNoCommunication for driver comms loss — and ScriptedAlarmHostActor's pair of
mutually-inverse uint<->enum mappers is deleted, having round-tripped a code the
engine already held. AddressSpaceApplier's removal writes deliberately keep the
generic Bad: not losing a code the driver had is this issue; inventing one for the
deploy path is a separate call.
Behaviour change: WriteAlarmQuality fires its Part 9 event on a status-code change
rather than a severity-bucket change. While the annotation was 3-state those were the
same predicate; now a move between two Bad reasons changes what a subscriber reads.
New SDK-free named constants live on Commons.OpcUa.OpcUaStatus, and
StatusCodeParityTests is widened to cover them — that guard is reflection-driven, so
it can only see a named constant, never an inline literal.
#517 — the symptom is real but the issue named the wrong path and its fix was unsafe.
ShutdownAsync cannot race: DriverInstanceActor calls it from PostStop, after the
mailbox drains. (Core/Hosting/DriverHost, the one class with a concurrent GetHealth,
has no production call site.) InitializeAsync can: it runs on a fire-and-forget
Task.Run, and MTConnectDriver writes Healthy then starts loops that can throw into a
catch which disposes the client before writing Faulted.
Moving the write earlier, as suggested, inverts the terminal state — teardown drains
in-flight loops that write health as they unwind, so a late loop could leave Healthy at
rest with every connection closed. The fix is a bracket (conservative before, terminal
after), applied to MTConnect's init-failure path only; shutdown keeps its single
trailing write, and the rule plus the reachability table are documented on
IDriver.ShutdownAsync.
CalculationDriver.GetHealth returned a hard-coded Healthy that consulted nothing —
Healthy before initialize, after shutdown and after dispose. Now derived from _running.
Its test, named Health_is_always_Connected, asserted the defect and is replaced.
Every new guard was falsified by breaking the production code and watching it go red.
The two sub-code tests each assert two different Bad codes, since a single-code
assertion could pass against a hard-coded constant under the old projection.
Pre-existing failures, verified unchanged on a stashed tree and not chased: 4 in
Driver.AbLegacy.IntegrationTests (slc500/micrologix/plc5 fixtures not up) and 3 in
Host.IntegrationTests.

The repo has consumed packaged gRPC clients (LocalDb.Replication,
HistorianGateway.Client) but never compiled a proto locally. This adds the
Grpc.Tools toolchain to Commons and a deployment_artifact.proto with a single
server-streaming Fetch(deployment_id) -> stream ArtifactChunk RPC, generating
both the server base and the client stub (GrpcServices="Both") so central
(Host/AdminUI) and the node (Runtime) share one reference. A compile-touch test
pins the codegen: it stops compiling if generation regresses.

Part 9 ConditionType.Quality was never assigned; default(StatusCode)==Good
so every native + scripted condition reported Good unconditionally — a
comms-lost device still showed a healthy, inactive, Good condition (a
wrong-VALUE bug, distinct from the null-value #473/#475). Clients (and HMIs
bucketing on IsGood) could not tell "genuinely inactive" from "lost contact".
Layer 1 — make Quality a real, plumbed field:
- AlarmConditionSnapshot gains OpcUaQuality Quality (default Good).
- MaterialiseAlarmCondition sets it (native BadWaitingForInitialData, scripted Good).
- WriteAlarmCondition projects snapshot.Quality; the delta-gate gains a Quality
member so a quality-bucket change fires a Part 9 event.
Layer 2 — drive native quality from driver connectivity (a comms-lost driver
emits no alarm transitions, and an alarm-bearing raw tag has no value variable,
so quality can't come from either existing channel):
- DriverInstanceActor Tells parent ConnectivityChanged on Connected/Reconnecting.
- DriverHostActor fans it to every native condition the driver owns as
OpcUaPublishActor.AlarmQualityUpdate (Good on connect, Bad on disconnect).
- New dedicated IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink.WriteAlarmQuality sets ONLY Quality and
fires only on a bucket change — never touches Active/Acked/Retain (an active
alarm that loses comms stays active). Not a full-snapshot re-projection, so it
can't clobber severity/message and works for a never-fired condition.
Forwarded through DeferredAddressSpaceSink (F10b trap; auto-verified by the
reflection forwarding guard). Ungated by redundancy role; no /alerts row.
Scripted conditions stay Good; worst-of-input quality deferred to #478 (Layer 3).
Tests: node-level (materialise/project/no-clobber/unknown-node no-op),
NativeAlarmProjector, DriverInstanceActor connectivity emission, DriverHostActor
fan-out, OpcUaPublishActor routing, and the wire-level guard
(Condition_event_Quality_tracks_source_connectivity_on_the_wire) — RED-verified
against a simulated pre-fix always-Good server. Existing DriverInstanceActor
parent probes ignore the new ConnectivityChanged.

Materialize each native alarm ONCE at the raw tag (ConditionId = RawPath, Raw
realm); wire the single condition as an SDK event notifier of each referencing
equipment's UNS folder so one ReportEvent fans to every root without
re-reporting per root (which would break Server-object dedup + Part 9 ack
correlation).
- New sink method WireAlarmNotifiers(alarmNodeId, alarmRealm,
notifierFolderNodeIds, notifierFolderRealm) on IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink,
forwarded through DeferredAddressSpaceSink + SdkAddressSpaceSink +
NullOpcUaAddressSpaceSink (the forwarding-trap guard); auto-covered by the
DeferredSinkForwardingReflectionTests realm + forwarding guards + a
hand-written forward test.
- OtOpcUaNodeManager: the normative AddNotifier(isInverse) pair + idempotent
EnsureFolderIsEventNotifier per equipment folder; tracked per condition in
_alarmNotifierWiring. Teardown symmetry: RemoveNotifier(bidirectional:true) on
RebuildAddressSpace, RemoveAlarmConditionNode, and RemoveEquipmentSubtree so no
inverse-notifier entry leaks across redeploys.
- AddressSpaceApplier.MaterialiseRawSubtree wires notifiers for each native alarm
tag, resolving its ReferencingEquipmentPaths (Area/Line/Equipment) to the
EquipmentId folder NodeIds via BuildEquipmentIdByFolderPath.
- AlarmTransitionEvent gains ReferencingEquipmentPaths (empty default); /alerts
renders the referencing-equipment list as display metadata.
- Un-skipped + rewrote the native-alarm dark tests
(DriverHostActorNativeAlarmTests x6, DriverHostActorNativeAlarmAckRoutingTests
x1) for the v3 raw-condition model; new NodeManagerMultiNotifierAlarmTests
proves multi-notifier wiring + teardown symmetry (no leaked duplicates after a
re-trip) + applier wiring test.

H1 (HIGH): write-routing key now (AddressSpaceRealm, bareId), not bare-only.
A raw s=<RawPath> and a UNS s=<Area/Line/Equip/Eff> can collide as bare
strings; the bare-only key let a colliding raw+UNS pair route to the WRONG
driver ref (last-writer-wins). The realm the node manager resolves (RealmOf)
is now threaded through IOpcUaNodeWriteGateway.WriteAsync -> RouteNodeWrite ->
_driverRefByNodeId keyed by (realm, bareId). New regression test:
Colliding_raw_and_uns_bare_ids_route_to_their_own_driver_by_realm.
M1 (MEDIUM): discovered-node injection made coherently DORMANT. HandleDiscoveredNodes
hard-short-circuits (single enforcement point; _discoveredByDriver never
populates so the re-inject tail is inert too), with a clear log pointing at the
/raw browse-commit flow. New pin: Discovered_nodes_are_ignored_dormant_in_v3;
the 16+2 v2 injection scenarios re-pointed to an accurate skip reason
(DiscoveryInjectionDormantV3).
M2 (MEDIUM): realm-qualified dual-node self-correction tests —
Failed_uns_write_reverts_uns_node_and_leaves_raw_node_untouched +
Raw_realm_revert_reverts_raw_node_only (the second fails if the realm is dropped).
L1: removed the = AddressSpaceRealm.Uns defaults from the consequential
node-manager mutation methods (WriteValue/WriteAlarmCondition/MaterialiseAlarmCondition/
EnsureFolder/EnsureVariable/UpdateFolderDisplayName/UpdateTagAttributes/
RaiseNodesAddedModelChange/Remove*/RevertOptimisticWriteIfNeeded) + the
AttributeValueUpdate/AlarmStateUpdate records, so the compiler forces explicit
realm; read-only accessors + internal builders retain their defaults.
L3: fixed the stale VirtualTagHostActor class comment (V3NodeIds.Uns, not the
retired EquipmentNodeIds.Variable).
Also: DeploymentArtifactRawUnsParityTests — Raw/UNS node-set byte-parity
round-trip between AddressSpaceComposer.Compose and DeploymentArtifact.ParseComposition.

Wave B of Batch 4 — the runtime binding seam for the dual namespace.
Applier (both realms, explicit realm at every sink call site):
- MaterialiseRawSubtree: Raw containers as folders + Raw tags as variables
keyed by RawPath (native-alarm tag → single Part 9 condition at the RawPath),
all in AddressSpaceRealm.Raw; historian tagname = override else RawPath.
- MaterialiseUnsReferences: each UNS reference Variable under its equipment
folder (Uns realm) + an Organizes UNS->Raw edge; inherits writable/array/
historian tagname from the backing raw tag (both NodeIds -> one tagname).
- FeedHistorizedRefs / ProvisionHistorizedTags now source RAW tags (mux ref
stays single, keyed by RawPath); ApplyPureRemove tears down raw tags + UNS
refs in place (raw-container removal falls back to rebuild).
DriverHostActor (dual-NodeId, single-source fan-out):
- _nodeIdByDriverRef value gains a realm (NodeRealmRef); rebuilt from
RawTags UNION UnsReferenceVariables so one (DriverInstanceId, RawPath) fans
to the raw NodeId AND every referencing UNS NodeId with identical
value/quality/timestamp. Write inverse map keyed by the bare id; the
ns-qualified NodeId the write hook passes is normalised (BareNodeId) so a
write to either NodeId resolves the same driver ref (-> RawPath write).
- Native raw alarm condition routing is realm-tagged (Raw); AttributeValueUpdate
+ AlarmStateUpdate carry the realm through to the sink.
Retire EquipmentNodeIds -> V3NodeIds.Uns (applier/VirtualTagHostActor) and
RawPaths.Combine (DiscoveredNodeMapper, discovered nodes are Raw now).
DeploymentArtifact.ParseComposition emits the Raw + UNS subtrees byte-parity
with the composer (reconstruct entities -> AddressSpaceComposer.Compose).
Sink surface: removed the transitional `= AddressSpaceRealm.Uns` defaults from
IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink / ISurgicalAddressSpaceSink / SdkAddressSpaceSink /
DeferredAddressSpaceSink / NullOpcUaAddressSpaceSink — every call site is now
explicit (realm reordered before the trailing optionals on EnsureVariable +
MaterialiseAlarmCondition). Node-manager convenience methods keep their
defaults (they are not the interface impl; Sdk delegates explicitly).
Tests: rewrote DriverHostActorLiveValueTests (fan-out drift, 1:N) +
DriverHostActorWriteRoutingTests (dual-NodeId raw/uns write routing) to the v3
raw+uns model; new AddressSpaceApplierRawUnsTests; migrated the EquipmentTags
provisioning/feed tests to RawTags; swept EquipmentNodeIds test callers.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01LVneM3eh1UtJxEisFXgmox
Close the Wave-A M1 gap: the sink surface had no way to wire the mandated
cross-tree Organizes reference from each UNS reference Variable to its backing
Raw node, forcing WP3 to reopen the frozen surface. Add a dedicated
realm-qualified AddReference method instead.
- IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink.AddReference(sourceNodeId, sourceRealm, targetNodeId,
targetRealm, referenceType="Organizes"): realm-qualified both ends; idempotent;
a missing endpoint is a logged no-op (never throws) so a mid-rebuild race can't
fault a deploy. Base-interface capability (no surgical sniff, no transitional
default — WP3 wires it explicitly per UNS reference variable).
- SdkAddressSpaceSink forwards to the node manager; DeferredAddressSpaceSink
forwards unconditionally (like EnsureFolder); NullOpcUaAddressSpaceSink no-ops.
- OtOpcUaNodeManager.AddReference: resolve both nodes by full ns-qualified key
(variable/folder/condition via ResolveNodeState), guard both-exist, then wire
the edge bidirectionally (forward Organizes on source, inverse on target) with a
ReferenceExists idempotency guard + ClearChangeMasks on mutated sides. Reference
type resolved by ResolveReferenceType (Organizes default). Added internal
GetNodeReferences test/diagnostic accessor.
- Reflection guard: the exhaustive-forwarding test + the realm-discriminator guard
auto-cover AddReference (it has two AddressSpaceRealm params) — no edit needed.
- New SdkAddressSpaceSinkTests: Organizes UNS→Raw edge created bidirectionally +
idempotent; missing endpoint is a safe no-op.
- All 15 IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink test doubles gain the AddReference no-op so the
solution still builds.
Build: dotnet build ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.slnx = 0 errors.
Tests: Commons.Tests 310/310; OpcUaServer.Tests 337 passed / 4 pre-existing skips.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01LVneM3eh1UtJxEisFXgmox
Register both v3 namespaces (Raw first, UNS second) on OtOpcUaNodeManager and
thread an AddressSpaceRealm discriminator through every node-naming sink method
so a bare node id is resolved to the correct namespace by realm — never parsed
out of the id string.
- IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink / ISurgicalAddressSpaceSink: every node-naming method
gains `AddressSpaceRealm realm = AddressSpaceRealm.Uns` (transitional default so
un-migrated WP3 call sites still compile; WP3/Wave B makes them explicit and
removes the default). Null + SdkAddressSpaceSink impls updated; DeferredAddress-
SpaceSink forwards realm through every method (the forwarding trap).
- DeferredSinkForwardingReflectionTests: existing exhaustive-forwarding guard
auto-covers the new signatures; added an explicit guard that every node-naming
sink method carries an AddressSpaceRealm parameter (RebuildAddressSpace exempt).
- OtOpcUaNodeManager: register RawNamespaceUri + UnsNamespaceUri; realm->namespace
index via NamespaceIndexForRealm; all node maps (_variables/_folders/
_alarmConditions/_nativeAlarmNodeIds/_historizedTagnames/_eventNotifierSources)
re-keyed by the full ns-qualified NodeId string so Raw and UNS nodes sharing a
bare id stay distinct; _notifierFolders already NodeId-keyed. A historized UNS
reference node registers the SAME historian tagname as its backing raw node
(both NodeIds -> one tagname). Inbound-write hook routes the full ns-qualified
NodeId to the write gateway (realm-aware) and reverts by bare id + realm.
HistoryRead seams resolve via NodeId directly. DefaultNamespaceUri kept as a
transitional alias to UnsNamespaceUri for the SubscriptionSurvivalTests.
- Test doubles across Commons.Tests / OpcUaServer.Tests / Runtime.Tests updated to
the new interface signatures; SdkAddressSpaceSinkTests asserts the UNS namespace
index for default-realm nodes.
Build: dotnet build ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.slnx = 0 errors.
Tests: Commons.Tests 310/310; OpcUaServer.Tests 335 passed / 4 pre-existing skips.

Wave-0 reviewer findings (no Critical/High):
- T0-1 M: ContextMenuItem.OnClick Action→Func<Task> (kills async-void at menu call sites Wave A/B/C need); keyboard-activated ⋯ now anchors below the button instead of viewport (0,0); focus returns to trigger on close; backdrop closes on native right-click too.
- T0-3 M: guard test now discovers *DriverFactoryExtensions.Register by convention from the deployed driver assemblies instead of a hand-copied list, so a future driver lacking a constant is actually caught.
- T0-2 L: corrected the round-trip 'sole non-round-trippable shape' comment (any table whose final row is a lone empty field).

Add a pure, no-I/O RFC 4180 CSV reader and writer to the Commons project
(greenfield — no CSV code existed).
CsvParser: string / TextReader -> rows of string[]; streaming IEnumerable
overload + eager Parse(string) + thin ParseWithHeader. Handles quoted
fields (embedded delimiter/CR/LF/CRLF, "" -> " escape), space
preservation, CRLF/LF/CR terminators, no phantom trailing row. Strict
malformed-input policy: FormatException with 1-based line/column on a
quote inside an unquoted field, a char after a closing quote, or an
unterminated quote. Faithful empty-line policy: a blank line is one empty
field (callers filter).
CsvWriter: rows -> string / TextWriter; quote-on-demand (delimiter, quote,
CR, LF only; internal quotes doubled), configurable delimiter/newline
(default CRLF), optional quote-all, no trailing terminator.
Tests (xUnit + Shouldly, 109): full RFC edge corpus for the parser, the
writer quote-on-demand rules, and the required Parse(Write(rows)) == rows
round-trip property over a table of every tricky character (x CRLF/LF/
quote-all/semicolon).

- ConfigComposer: snapshot v3 tables (RawFolders/TagGroups/UnsTagReferences),
drop the retired Namespaces snapshot; RevisionHash follows the new blob.
- DeploymentArtifact: compute each raw tag's RawPath (RawFolder->Driver->Device->
TagGroup ancestry via shared RawPathResolver); per-driver RawTags + merged
DriverConfig+DeviceConfig config injected into DriverInstanceSpec via
DriverDeviceConfigMerger; ParseComposition emits an empty EquipmentTags set
(DARK until Batch 4); EquipmentNode driver/device hooks always null; cluster
scoping attributes equipment by UNS line only.
- AddressSpaceComposer: rewritten to the v3 shape (no Namespace/NamespaceKind,
no dropped Tag/Equipment fields); emits empty EquipmentTags (parity mirror).
- DriverHostActor: fan-out/write map tuple member FullName -> RawPath.
- Commons: new RawPathResolver (shared identity authority) + DriverDeviceConfigMerger
(single/multi-device endpoint+RawTags merge).
- DraftValidator: v3 rules — raw-name charset (RawPaths.ValidateSegment),
historized effective-tagname <=255, UNS effective-leaf uniqueness across
UnsTagReference/VirtualTag/ScriptedAlarm; DraftSnapshot(+Factory) carry the new tables.
- AdminOperationsActor: tag-config inspection resolves driver via Device (no
EquipmentId/DriverInstanceId on Tag).
- Tests: RawPathResolver/merger unit tests (Commons.Tests, green) +
DeploymentArtifact RawPath/dark test (Runtime.Tests, awaits WP6 corpus fixes).
Task 9: DiscoverTreeAsync UntilStable settle loop (FOCAS) — re-capture on a 1s interval until
the node set is non-empty and stable across two passes, bounded by open-timeout; on
timeout with a prior non-empty capture, return it (best-effort) instead of failing.
Task 11: BrowserSessionService resolves bespoke-first, falls back to IUniversalDriverBrowser
when no bespoke browser matches and CanBrowse is true; new CanBrowse on the service.
16 unit tests green (4 settle + 12 service).
Add a mechanical, reflection-driven guard that every method of every forwarding
interface DeferredAddressSpaceSink implements (IOpcUaAddressSpaceSink +
ISurgicalAddressSpaceSink) actually reaches the inner sink, plus the sibling
DeferredServiceLevelPublisher. A DispatchProxy recording inner auto-implements
future interface members with zero maintenance, so a newly-added sink capability
that the wrapper forgets to forward now fails a test instead of shipping inert on
every driver-role host (the F10b / PR#423 failure mode). A guard-of-the-guard
asserts the wrapper implements exactly the known forwarding-interface set, so a
brand-new capability *interface* trips the test too.
This is the prerequisite gate for 03/P1 (surgical remove methods) and 02/P
(batched WriteValues): both add sink capability members that must not ship inert.
Verified: 3 new tests green (Commons.Tests 57/57); negative control (stubbing
UpdateFolderDisplayName to a non-forwarding no-op) fails with the exact
member-named diagnostic, proving the guard bites.
A rename-only deploy produced an IsEmpty plan that short-circuited before MaterialiseHierarchy,
leaving the OPC UA folder DisplayName stale. AddressSpacePlanner now diffs UnsAreas/UnsLines by
stable id into a RenamedFolders set (counted in IsEmpty); the applier refreshes the folder in
place via a new UpdateFolderDisplayName on ISurgicalAddressSpaceSink (forwarded through
DeferredAddressSpaceSink so it is NOT inert on driver hosts; falls back to rebuild when the sink
is non-surgical). DeploymentArtifact byte-parity untouched (rename rides the existing Name
round-trip). No EF migration, no serialized wire/proto contract change. +13 OpcUaServer tests, Runtime rebuild test.
Default HistorizeToAveva/Retain/Enabled to the entity defaults (true) when a
field is absent/null/non-boolean so a partial blob decodes identically to the
composer's view of a default-constructed ScriptedAlarm (byte-parity), and only
call GetBoolean for a genuine true/false token. Add direct ExtractAlarmDependencyRefs
unit tests (overlap dedup + reserved {{equip}} exclusion).
