Every HistoryUpdate a SQL backend applies now leaves a modification trail
(prior value, principal, Part 11 update type, modification time), and
HistoryReadRaw with IsReadModified=true serves it as HistoryModifiedData.
- Core: HistoryUpdateContext threaded into all three IHistorianDataUpdater
methods; IHistorianDataSource.ReadModifiedAsync (default NotSupported =>
BadHistoryOperationUnsupported on Gateway/Null); HistoryModified* contracts.
- SqlServer: schema v2 (002_sample_modified.sql, RequiredVersion=2, docs copy);
trail written by OUTPUT ... INTO on the same MERGE/DELETE statement, so a
failed update leaves no audit row; retention purges SampleModified per tag on
the source-time cutoff; ReadModifiedAsync keyed on (SourceTimeUtc, ModifiedId).
- QuestDB: append-only {prefix}sample_modified (TTL like samples), trail row
written BEFORE the change (orphan-on-crash, never an untracked change);
existence reads now carry the prior value; ReadModifiedAsync.
- Node manager: modified reads dispatch + page via the #669 continuation store
(HistoryContinuationState gains HistoryCursorKind + LastModifiedId), gated by
the existing HistoryRead decision; session principal / key id passed to the
updater. IsDeleteModified stays unsupported.
- Client.CLI: historyread --modified.
- Tests: node-manager dispatch/paging/cursor binding/principal threading,
over-the-wire HistoryModifiedData, shared ModifiedValueConformance on both
backends, SqlServer atomicity (forced trail failure => no change) + v1->v2
upgrade + retention trail purge.
- Docs: Historian.md (Modified-value history section, schema v2 upgrade note),
security.md, Client.CLI.md, CLAUDE.md.
EventFilter.AddSelectClause(type, "ActiveState/Id") does not split the string;
it selects a single QualifiedName named "ActiveState/Id", which no event carries.
AckedState/Id, ActiveState/Id and EnabledState/Id therefore always arrived null
and Client.CLI 'alarms' (and Client.UI) reported every alarm inactive and
unacknowledged while a direct Read said Active. Pre-existing since a2883b82;
server-side event delivery was correct (proven with two-element select clauses,
incl. after #629). Select them with explicit two-element browse paths.
Over-the-wire test drives OpcUaClientService.SubscribeAlarmsAsync against the
in-process server (native + scripted); ServerEventRig now also selects
ActiveState/Id, Severity and Retain.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Ef2ozxS7QPanGT8uoATbTe
The client appended .Condition / .ShelvingState to the condition id; neither child exists on the
OtOpcUa server (conditions are their own SourceNode, ShelvingState is an SDK numeric ns0 node), so
every CLI ack/confirm/shelve/enable/disable returned BadNodeIdUnknown.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Ef2ozxS7QPanGT8uoATbTe
Adds <summary>/<param>/<returns>/<inheritdoc> where missing and removes
project bookkeeping IDs (task/tracking refs) from shipped code comments,
so the docs read cleanly and CommentChecker is quiet except for known
false positives (PLC/protocol terms, event/IEqualityComparer inheritdoc).
Doc/comment-only; no logic changed; solution builds clean.
Re-review at 7286d320. -012 (Medium): DisconnectAsync now snapshots+nulls the data/alarm
subscriptions under _subscriptionLock before async teardown (was racing RunFailoverAsync).
-013: SubscribeAlarmsAsync guarded by a semaphore (idempotent under concurrency). -014/-015:
forward CancellationToken through Delete/BrowseNext adapters. + TDD.
Closes backlog #12: Galaxy's AckMsg attribute is WRITE-ONLY and the OPC UA
event SelectClause carries no comment field, making OperatorComment
unrecoverable on the sub-attribute fallback path. Documents the two concrete
reasons in-code and tightens the AlarmEventArgs XML doc; adds pinning test
OnAlarmEvent_GalaxyFallback_LeavesOperatorCommentNull.
Important 1: ShelveAlarmAsync Timed branch now multiplies shelvingTimeSeconds × 1000.0
before passing to CallMethodAsync — OPC UA Part 9 TimedShelve ShelvingTime is a Duration
in milliseconds, not seconds. IOpcUaClientService XML doc and ShelveCommand --duration
description updated to document the seconds-in / ms-out contract.
Important 2: ShelveAlarmAsync builds shelvingStateNodeId with the same
EndsWith(".ShelvingState") guard already used by the .Condition suffix in
AcknowledgeAlarmAsync / ConfirmAlarmAsync, preventing double-append.
Important 3: Add 6 service-layer tests to OpcUaClientServiceTests —
ConfirmAlarmAsync_OnSuccess_ReturnsGood
ConfirmAlarmAsync_OnServiceResultException_ReturnsBadStatusCode
ShelveAlarmAsync_OneShot_CallsMethodWithNoArgs
ShelveAlarmAsync_Timed_PassesDurationInMilliseconds (regression guard for Important 1)
ShelveAlarmAsync_Unshelve_CallsMethodWithNoArgs
ShelveAlarmAsync_OnServiceResultException_ReturnsBadStatusCode
FakeSessionAdapter extended with CallMethodInputArgs list to record per-call input
arguments so the Timed test can assert the ms value.
Minor 4: ShelveCommand output changed from "Shelve (OneShot) successful" to
"{shelveKind} successful/failed" so Unshelve reads "Unshelve successful: …".
Minor 6: ShelveCommand --duration description updated to "(must be > 0; in seconds,
converted to milliseconds for the OPC UA call; required for --kind Timed)".
Adds ConfirmAlarmAsync and ShelveAlarmAsync to IOpcUaClientService and
OpcUaClientService (mirroring the AcknowledgeAlarmAsync pattern: same
CallMethodAsync/ServiceResultException/StatusCode contract). Adds ShelveKind
enum (OneShot/Timed/Unshelve). Adds three new CLI commands — ack, confirm,
shelve — with hex EventId input and per-command argument validation.
Updates both fakes (CLI + UI) to implement the new interface members and
record calls. Adds 16 unit tests covering argument mapping, invalid-input
CommandException paths, bad-status output, and disconnect-in-finally.
- Client.Shared-003: DefaultSessionAdapter.WriteValueAsync / CallMethodAsync
guard against null/empty Results and throw ServiceResultException with
the response's ServiceResult code instead of indexing into a missing
list.
- Client.Shared-004: DefaultSessionAdapter.CloseAsync / HistoryReadRawAsync
/ HistoryReadAggregateAsync use the Session.*Async overloads and honour
the caller's CancellationToken.
- Client.Shared-009: AcknowledgeAlarmAsync returns the underlying
ServiceResultException.StatusCode on failure instead of always Good;
IOpcUaClientService doc updated to describe the new contract.
- Client.Shared-010: ConnectionSettings.CertificateStorePath defaults to
empty; DefaultApplicationConfigurationFactory resolves the canonical
PKI path lazily, so per-failover ConnectionSettings copies don't hit
the filesystem.
- Client.Shared-011: added the alarm-fallback regression test, extracted
EndpointSelector as a pure static, and added EndpointSelectorTests
covering security-mode match, Basic256Sha256 preference, fallback,
diagnostics, hostname rewrite, and null/empty guards.

Client.Shared-001: lowered the OnAlarmEventNotification early-return guard
from <6 to <1; per-index field guards already default missing fields safely.
Client.Shared-002: GetRedundancyInfoAsync replaces unguarded unboxing casts
with StatusCode.IsGood + Convert.ToInt32/ToByte, defaulting on bad reads.
Client.Shared-007: alarm fallback Task.Run guards on ReferenceEquals(session,
_session) and drops stale alarms on ObjectDisposedException after failover.
Client.Shared-008: WriteValueAsync rejects type inference from bad/null reads;
ValueConverter wraps parse failures in a descriptive FormatException.

Client.Shared-005: _activeDataSubscriptions (a plain Dictionary) and the
_activeAlarmSubscription tuple were mutated from the caller thread, the
keep-alive failover path, and DisconnectAsync with no synchronization,
risking bucket corrosion / InvalidOperationException / lost entries.
Added a dedicated _subscriptionLock and wrapped every read/write of that
bookkeeping state inside it (Subscribe/Unsubscribe[Alarms]Async,
Disconnect, Dispose, and the snapshot/clear/re-record steps of
ReplaySubscriptionsAsync). Awaited adapter calls stay outside the lock so
it is never held across I/O.
Client.Shared-006: HandleKeepAliveFailureAsync had only a non-atomic
state check guarding re-entry, so two bad keep-alives could each start a
failover loop, racing to dispose/replace _session and double-replaying
subscriptions. It now claims an atomic _failoverInProgress slot via
Interlocked.CompareExchange; a re-entrant call returns immediately. The
loop body moved to RunFailoverAsync, wrapped in try/finally that resets
the flag.
Tests: added KeepAliveFailure_ReentrantWhileFailoverInFlight_RunsFailoverOnce
and SubscribeAndUnsubscribe_ConcurrentCalls_DoNotCorruptState regression
tests; made the FakeSubscriptionAdapter / FakeSessionAdapter /
FakeSessionFactory test doubles thread-safe (and added a CreateGate hook)
so the concurrency tests exercise production locking rather than fake
state. All 138 Client.Shared tests pass.

Group all 69 projects into category subfolders under src/ and tests/ so the
Rider Solution Explorer mirrors the module structure. Folders: Core, Server,
Drivers (with a nested Driver CLIs subfolder), Client, Tooling.
- Move every project folder on disk with git mv (history preserved as renames).
- Recompute relative paths in 57 .csproj files: cross-category ProjectReferences,
the lib/ HintPath+None refs in Driver.Historian.Wonderware, and the external
mxaccessgw refs in Driver.Galaxy and its test project.
- Rebuild ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.slnx with nested solution folders.
- Re-prefix project paths in functional scripts (e2e, compliance, smoke SQL,
integration, install).
Build green (0 errors); unit tests pass. Docs left for a separate pass.
