Joseph Doherty ded4c41798 fix(mqtt): key tag definitions by RawPath, not the TagConfig blob
Task 2 review follow-up. The plan specified MqttEquipmentTagParser.TryParse(reference)
with def.Name = the TagConfig blob, and told us to mirror a type named
ModbusEquipmentTagParser. Both are plan defects:

- EquipmentTagRefResolver documents that a v3 driver reference "is now always a
  RawPath" and that the blob-parse fallback is retired. Keying Name by the blob
  would make OnDataChange publish under a reference that never matches the
  RawPath-keyed fan-out in DriverHostActor - silently dead in production with
  every unit test still green.
- ModbusEquipmentTagParser does not exist. The six sibling drivers all use
  <Driver>TagDefinitionFactory.FromTagConfig(tagConfig, rawPath, out def).

Changes:
- Rename MqttEquipmentTagParser -> MqttTagDefinitionFactory; TryParse(reference,
  out def) -> FromTagConfig(tagConfig, rawPath, out def) setting Name: rawPath,
  matching ModbusTagDefinitionFactory's structure, param docs and guard order.
- Pin the identity contract with a dedicated test so a regression to blob-keying
  goes red.
- Read qos with the same strictness as the enums: a present-but-invalid qos
  ("high" / 1.5 / 5 / null) now rejects the tag and is warned by Inspect,
  instead of being silently absorbed into the driver-level default and handing
  the operator a weaker delivery guarantee than the one they authored.
- No ToTagConfig inverse: the siblings carry one solely for their Driver.<X>.Cli
  project, the MQTT plan defines none, and the AdminUI editor template
  references no driver factory. Recorded as an explicit YAGNI call in the type
  doc rather than added speculatively.

Joseph Doherty 0efee7413a fix(sql): SqlQueryPlan snapshots its collections instead of aliasing the planner's lists
Code-review Minor: the record typed ParameterNames/Parameters/Members/
SelectedColumns as IReadOnlyList<T> but was handed the planner's live List<T>
instances. SqlQueryPlan documents itself as safe to hold for plan caching, so
an aliased list is a real hazard once the reader starts reusing plans across
polls: IReadOnlyList<T> is downcastable, and one mutation would corrupt every
subsequent poll served by that plan.

Copying at the record boundary fixes it for every call site at once rather
than relying on each planner branch remembering to call AsReadOnly.

Pinned by a test that mutates the caller's lists after construction; verified
load-bearing (reverting the record turns it red).

Joseph Doherty 967e5140f1 feat(sql): SqlPollReader — grouped read, bounded deadline, ordered slice-back
Executes a poll pass: resolve refs -> SqlGroupPlanner.Plan -> one command per
group -> slice the result set back to per-tag DataValueSnapshots, positionally
aligned with the caller's reference list (design §3.2).

The frozen-peer contract (design §8.3, the R2-01 S7 lesson) is the core of it.
CommandTimeout is only the server-side backstop; the client-side bound is a
linked CancelAfter PLUS Task.WaitAsync, because a linked token bounds only a
provider that honours it and ADO.NET providers vary. The whole per-group
operation — waiting for a concurrency slot, OpenAsync, and the query — runs off
one operationTimeout budget, so ReadAsync returns on time regardless of what the
database is doing. A breach Bad-codes that group (BadTimeout); caller
cancellation propagates instead, since nobody consumes a torn-down poll.

Also: absent row (BadNoData) stays distinct from a NULL cell (Uncertain, or Bad
under nullIsBad); duplicate plan members are all fed (two tags on one keyValue
bind one parameter but stay two members); the concurrency slot is released by the
work, not the waiter, so a frozen database can never hold more than
maxConcurrentGroups connections; the whole call throws only when the connection
itself cannot open, which is what earns PollGroupEngine's backoff.

SqlStatusCodes is driver-local, matching every sibling driver's own table — there
is no shared helper in Core.Abstractions and drivers do not reference the OPC UA
SDK. Values were read off Opc.Ua.StatusCodes rather than copied from a sibling,
because two of those tables carry transcription errors.

Joseph Doherty 50f88b938f fix(sql): reject Unicode format chars in identifiers; stop overclaiming catalog validation
Three findings from the code review of the dialect seam:

- QuoteIdentifier used char.IsControl, which only covers Unicode category Cc.
  Bidi overrides, zero-width spaces, soft hyphen and BOM are category Cf and
  passed through untouched. They cannot escape the brackets, so this is not an
  injection bypass — but the method rejects control characters precisely to
  protect the integrity of logged/audited statements, and Cf characters spoof
  rendered text while comparing byte-different from the real catalog name
  (Trojan Source, CVE-2021-42574). Same rule, same rationale, wider category.

- The XML docs on both files asserted that identifiers 'are sourced only from
  catalog-validated (INFORMATION_SCHEMA) names' and that rejection is 'a
  backstop, not the primary defence'. Neither is true yet: design §8.1 does
  specify that gate, but nothing implements it and no task in the plan
  schedules one, so an authored TagConfig table/column reaches QuoteIdentifier
  unfiltered. The docs now say so, because under-scrutinising this method on
  the strength of a filter that does not exist is exactly the failure mode.

- The control-character test only pinned NUL, so a regression to a
  Contains('\0') check would still have passed. Pinned the whole Cc category
  plus the new Cf rule; verified load-bearing by deleting the guard and
  observing exactly the 5 new cases go red.

Joseph Doherty a5a8710af5 fix(mqtt): pin security-critical defaults with tests + redact password in ToString
Code review of f22db5d8 (approved-with-findings): the existing round-trip
tests only exercised explicit JSON payloads, so nothing failed if UseTls /
AllowUntrustedServerCertificate or the §5.1 numeric defaults were flipped.
Adds a defaults-pinning test plus a partial-JSON test that omits the TLS
knobs entirely (the production case — an operator config that just doesn't
mention TLS must not silently land insecure).

Also overrides the record's PrintMembers so ToString() no longer prints
Password in plaintext (verified RED before the fix: the new test failed
with the raw password in the rendered string). OpcUaClientDriverOptions has
the same unredacted-ToString() shape but is out of scope for this task per
the coordinator's note; flagging as a possible follow-up.

Task 0 temporary MQTTnet PackageReference from .Contracts (transport-free;
references only Core.Abstractions). MQTTnet stays pinned in
Directory.Packages.props for the .Driver project (Task 3).

Joseph Doherty 6bb0108d30 feat(sql): ISqlDialect + SqlServerDialect with golden catalog SQL
The dialect owns the two things ADO.NET's System.Data.Common base types
cannot abstract: identifier quoting and the metadata-catalog SQL. It is
the driver's SQL-injection boundary — values always bind as DbParameters,
identifiers cannot, so the few that reach a command text are catalog-
sourced and pass through QuoteIdentifier.

QuoteIdentifier brackets one identifier part and doubles embedded ] (the
only metacharacter that can terminate a bracketed identifier early);
rejects null/empty/whitespace, >128 chars (T-SQL sysname ceiling), and any
control character (incl. NUL) as ArgumentException, without echoing the
untrusted value into the message. MapColumnType folds the design §3.7
families case-insensitively and never throws — an unrecognised family
falls back to String so a browse over an exotic column still renders;
timestamp/rowversion and time are deliberately NOT mapped to DateTime.

Joseph Doherty f9f1b8fcee fix(localdb): phase-2 live gate — 4 production defects found and fixed
Gate record: docs/plans/2026-07-20-localdb-phase2-live-gate.md.
Checks 1, 2, 5, 6 pass. Checks 3 and 4 are NOT satisfied — the defect they
were meant to confirm turned out to be the opposite of what the plan assumed.

Three defects crash-looped every driver node before check 1 could even run:

1. An empty ServerHistorian:ApiKey kills the host. ServerHistorianOptions-
   Validator exists to turn exactly that class of failure into a named
   OptionsValidationException, but its documented fail tier explicitly excluded
   ApiKey on the reasoning that a keyless client "degrades — the gateway rejects
   calls". It does not: the client validates its own options at construction, so
   the process dies during Akka startup and never makes a call.

2. UseTls disagreeing with the endpoint scheme kills the host too, in both
   directions (both messages confirmed in the shipped client assembly). Moving an
   endpoint from https to http without clearing UseTls is an ordinary migration
   slip.

3. Plaintext h2c was UNREACHABLE. HistorianGatewayClientAdapter forwarded the
   TLS-only options unconditionally, and AllowUntrustedServerCertificate defaults
   to false, so it always sent RequireCertificateValidation=true — which the
   client rejects outright when UseTls=false. Every http:// deployment crashed,
   though the scheme is documented as the supported way to select h2c, and the
   only workaround was to assert a certificate posture for a connection that has
   no certificate.

The fourth was the blocker, and it is Phase 2's own:

4. The drain gate deferred to a Primary that cannot deliver. Redundancy roles are
   elected CLUSTER-WIDE; the alarm queue is PAIR-LOCAL. On the rig the elected
   driver Primary is central-1 — it carries the driver Akka role, replicates
   nobody's LocalDb and does not even run the alarm historian — so every driver
   node logged "Historian drain suspended", including the two site-b nodes that
   have no peer at all. Nothing drained anywhere, where before Phase 2 it drained
   fine. The cost is not a duplicate; it is the buffer growing to the capacity
   wall and evicting the audit trail it exists to protect.

   Fixed in three layers: a separate ShouldDrainAlarmHistory policy (unknown role
   drains; the two gates now deliberately disagree, and a test pins that); peer-
   host matching in DriverHostActor so a node stands down only for a Primary
   holding its rows; and AddAlarmHistorian short-circuiting the gate when
   replication is unconfigured — testing BOTH Replication:PeerAddress and
   SyncListenPort, since only the dialing half sets the former while both halves
   share the queue.

   Every one of these follows from the asymmetry: a false allow costs a duplicate
   row, which at-least-once delivery already accepts and payload-hash ids
   collapse; a false deny loses data silently.

A third vacuous test, caught by the same delete-the-guard discipline: the
role-view tests stayed green with the guard removed, because AwaitAssert polls
until an assertion passes and the assertion was "reads open" — which is the
SEEDED value, satisfied at the first poll before the actor processed anything.
They now assert the sequence of published values through a recording view; the
control then goes red for exactly the cases that matter.

Migration evidence: 11 legacy rows across two deliberately overlapping files
converged to exactly 9 identical rows on both nodes, proving D-6's payload-hash
identity on real nodes rather than in a fixture.

Open design fork, recorded in the gate doc rather than decided here: a pair
cannot currently identify its own Primary, so both halves drain. Safe in every
topology — nothing loses data — but the gate's de-duplication benefit is
unrealised until roles are scoped per pair.

Joseph Doherty 2e4ccf7fe9 chore(localdb): phase-2 DoD sweep
Build: 0 errors solution-wide, and 0 warnings from every project this branch
touches. The ~816 solution-wide warnings are pre-existing xUnit1051 /
OTOPCUA0001 / CS86xx in untouched driver + client test projects.

Tests: full solution run compared against a full run on a detached worktree at
the pre-branch baseline 2e46d054. The two failure SETS are identical -- all 13
tests, same names, zero new failures. Net +26 tests: +3 Core.AlarmHistorian
(drain gate), +6 Runtime (role view), +17 Host.IntegrationTests (migrator +
convergence). Set comparison rather than counts, because the suite carries
standing environment- and load-dependent failures a count would hide.

The greps found real drift Task 6 missed -- eight live sites still naming the
deleted SqliteStoreAndForwardSink, including the AdminUI /alarms/historian
panel text, which is user-visible, and a <see cref> in HistorianAdapterActor
that resolved to nothing without warning. All repointed at
LocalDbStoreAndForwardSink; CLAUDE.md's alarm-history paragraph now also
records the LocalDb buffer and the primary-gated drain, and drops DatabasePath
from the knob list. docs/AlarmTracking.md still promised an
AlarmHistorianOptions.Validate() startup warning for a relative DatabasePath
and an empty SharedSecret; both branches are gone, so it now says so.

Code references to AlarmHistorian:DatabasePath reduce to exactly two intentional
ones: AlarmSfLegacyMigrator.LegacyPathKey and its test. No `new SqliteConnection`
remains anywhere in Core.AlarmHistorian.

Recon doc gains the durable verification record: guard-deletion evidence for
both vacuous passes, the two exact-set replicated-table pins (both assert set
equality, so an added or a dropped registration fails), and the baseline test
comparison with a per-failure account of why each of the 13 is not this
branch's.

Stops here per the plan. Task 8's live gate needs explicit go-ahead; nothing on
this branch is to be merged.

Joseph Doherty 9bb237b794 feat(secrets): G-2b resolve OpcUaClient secret: Password/UserCertificatePassword (Task 8)
Resolve secret:-prefixed Password + UserCertificatePassword through the shared
ISecretResolver, fail-closed on absent, retiring the cleartext-in-DB path. The
driver-registry factory is synchronous (Func<string,string,IDriver>), so resolution
is done lazily in the async session-open (InitializeAsync, before BuildUserIdentity)
rather than at deserialize — mirroring Task 7's Galaxy pattern and matching its
re-resolve-on-reconnect behavior. Both consumers (username Password and the
certificate-password LoadPkcs12 path via BuildCertificateIdentity) see the resolved
connect-scoped options; _options stays raw (secret: refs intact), no long-lived
plaintext field.

Scope corrections vs the plan (verified against v3): the probe is unauthenticated
GetEndpoints-only and never reads either credential, so it is NOT a resolution site
(comment added, no dead code); OpcUaClientDriverOptions was a sealed class, converted
to sealed record for the with-expression (no positional params → identical JSON; no
reference-equality/dict-key/ToString-log usages → no behavior/leak change).

ISecretResolver threaded via factory Register/CreateInstance + DriverFactoryBootstrap
(real resolver from DI); NullSecretResolver null-object backs test/parse paths only,
fail-closed on secret: refs. TDD: 4 helper tests RED→GREEN; 142 OpcUaClient tests pass.

Joseph Doherty 1424a21419 feat(secrets): G-2a secret: arm on GalaxySecretRef via ISecretResolver (Task 7)
Add a secret:NAME arm to GalaxySecretRef.ResolveApiKey that resolves the Galaxy
gateway API key through the shared ISecretResolver — fail-closed if the secret is
absent (never falls through to the cleartext literal arm), retiring the dev:/literal
in-DB path for production. Because GetAsync is async the method becomes
ResolveApiKeyAsync; the await cascade threads ISecretResolver by ctor injection into
GalaxyDriver + GalaxyDriverBrowser and (since GalaxyDriver is built by a static
factory closure, not DI) through GalaxyDriverFactoryExtensions + DriverFactoryBootstrap
(which pulls the real resolver from the service provider — registered unconditionally
in Slice 1). A NullSecretResolver null-object backs the parse-only/test paths only;
the runtime path always gets the real resolver (verified end-to-end).

TDD: 3 new secret:-arm tests (resolve / fail-closed-on-absent / no-literal-warning)
RED without the arm, GREEN with it; 338 Galaxy tests pass; no sync-over-async.

Joseph Doherty 53d222e0f7 feat(driver-calc): B2-WP7 Calculation driver — IDependencyConsumer + triggers + deploy cycle gate
Adds the Calculation pseudo-driver (tags computed by C# scripts over other tags' live
values) plus the host seam that feeds it:

- IDependencyConsumer capability interface (Core.Abstractions) + DriverTypeNames.Calculation.
- CalculationDriver : IDriver, ISubscribable, IReadable, IDependencyConsumer — change-gate +
  dedupe (VirtualTagActor parity), timer-group scheduler, Bad-transition + script-log emission,
  Good recovery; reuses the T0-4 CalculationEvaluator.
- DriverHostActor spawns a DependencyConsumerMuxAdapter per dependency-consuming driver,
  registering its refs on the per-node DependencyMuxActor and forwarding DependencyValueChanged
  → OnDependencyValue; re-registers on every apply, torn down with the driver.
- Factory + probe registered in DriverFactoryBootstrap (keeps the T0-3 guard green); guard test
  csproj references the driver so the bin-scan discovers the factory.
- DeploymentArtifact injects the resolved scriptSource (scriptId → SourceCode) into a calc tag's
  delivered TagConfig so the host-blind driver can compile it.
- DraftValidator deploy gates: CalculationScriptMissing / CalculationScriptNotFound (scriptId
  existence) + CalculationDependencyCycle (DependencyGraph.DetectCycles over calc→calc edges).
- Tests: driver units (dep-ref extraction, change-gate, dedupe, Bad+script-log+recovery, timer,
  read), tag-config parsing, DraftValidator gates (self/2-cycle/cross-driver-terminal), and a
  Runtime integration test proving values FLOW mux → adapter → driver → calc-of-calc end-to-end.

single-tag mode (ctx.SetVirtualTag dropped + logged), sandbox/compile/
timeout/throw all surfaced as VirtualTagEvalResult.Failure for WP7 to map
to Bad quality. IScriptCacheOwner.ClearCompiledScripts for the deploy
generation boundary. 11 parity unit tests. Both projects added to the
solution. Evaluator + tests only — driver shell / registration is WP7.

Joseph Doherty a4c61989b2 test(v3): migrate 6 driver IntegrationTests to RawTags API
Replace pre-declared options.Tags (typed <Driver>TagDefinition lists) with
options.RawTags (IReadOnlyList<RawTagEntry>) across all 6 Docker-gated driver
integration suites so they COMPILE against the v3 driver API.

Each project gets a local <Driver>RawTags helper mirroring the unit-test
project's helper: it serialises a typed def back to its TagConfig blob via the
driver's <Driver>TagDefinitionFactory.ToTagConfig and packages it as a
RawTagEntry (RawPath = def.Name; DeviceName = def.DeviceHostAddress for the
multi-device drivers AbCip/AbLegacy/TwinCAT/FOCAS). Test intent (addresses,
data types, device routing, assertions) is unchanged — only the
tag-authoring/config-delivery shape was migrated.

Docker-gated: these still skip at runtime without fixtures; COMPILE is the gate.

Joseph Doherty c0379742bc v3(b1-abcip): RawPath read-path for AbCip (multi-device)
Apply the reviewed Modbus exemplar to the AbCip multi-device driver:
- Mapper AbCipEquipmentTagParser -> AbCipTagDefinitionFactory; TryParse -> FromTagConfig(tagConfig, rawPath, out def); drop leading-{ heuristic + the deviceHostAddress key; add inverse ToTagConfig; round-trip arrays/members/safety for coverage.
- Options: Tags (typed) -> RawTags (RawTagEntry list); Devices list kept.
- Driver: byName-only resolver over _tagsByRawPath (Ordinal); table built from RawTags via FromTagConfig, threading entry.DeviceName (device routing key) + entry.WriteIdempotent onto the def. Multi-device routing keys on DeviceName-or-host via a _devicesByRoutingKey index; discovery groups _declaredTags by RoutesToDevice.
- Factory: retire the pre-declared Tags DTO/BuildTag; bind List<RawTagEntry> RawTags.
- Probe: derive probe tag path from RawTags via the mapper.
- Cli BuildOptions projects typed tags -> RawTagEntry (ToTagConfig).
- Tests: AbCipRawTags helper (typed def -> RawTagEntry); parser tests -> FromTagConfig; blob-fallback driver tests rewritten to author via RawTags + read by RawPath. Driver.AbCip.Tests 342/342, Cli.Tests 42/42.

TODO(v3 WaveC): DeviceName becomes a pure logical name once the device connection host moves to the Device row's DeviceConfig.

Joseph Doherty 636c755b04 v3(galaxy): re-key GalaxyDriver to RawPath identity (dial attributeRef)
Wave-B driver re-keying. Under v3 the server addresses Galaxy nodes by RawPath
and the driver dials the Galaxy attributeRef (tag_name.AttributeName). The
dialled address moved into TagConfig under the camelCase key `attributeRef`
(renamed from the pre-v3 PascalCase FullName) and rides on RawTagEntry.

Options + factory:
- GalaxyDriverOptions gains `IReadOnlyList<RawTagEntry> RawTags` (Contracts now
  references the zero-dep Core.Abstractions leaf for RawTagEntry — same as
  Modbus.Contracts). Factory binds `List<RawTagEntry>? RawTags` from DriverConfig.

Boundary translation (built once from options.RawTags):
- RawPath -> attributeRef (forward dial) on Read / Write / Subscribe / Ack.
- attributeRef -> RawPath (reverse) on the value fan-out (OnDataChange) and the
  alarm ConditionId — so the alarm resolves back to the same RawPath the value
  path surfaces. Both legs fall back to identity on a miss, so the live-browse
  discovery path (no authored tags) and synthetic alarm sub-refs
  (attributeRef.InAlarm) dial straight through unchanged.
- WriteAsync dials the attributeRef but resolves security via the RawPath-keyed
  map the discoverer captured (reverse-maps in the resolver closure).

Discovery + alarms:
- GalaxyDiscoverer emits FullName = RawPath for authored attributes (falls back
  to attributeRef), threads RawTagEntry.WriteIdempotent onto DriverAttributeInfo,
  and gains an optional attributeRef -> RawTagEntry resolver ctor param.
- AlarmRefBuilder.Build(conditionReference, dialReference): SourceName/ConditionId
  = RawPath identity; the five live-state/ack sub-refs dial off the attributeRef.

ReinitializeAsync equivalence now compares the session-shape sections field-wise,
excluding RawTags (address-space state re-applied via rediscovery, and a record's
synthesized equality would compare the lists by reference).

Tests: +9 (discoverer RawPath/WriteIdempotent + alarm identity; factory RawTags
binding; driver read/write/subscribe/alarm boundary translation). Existing 304
preserved via identity fallback. 313 pass, 5 live-gated skips.

Joseph Doherty ec01649905 v3(b1-opcuaclient): re-key OpcUaClient resolution to RawPath via RawTags
NamespaceMap now carries a RawPath -> upstream node id table built from the
deployed RawTagEntry list (reads each tag's TagConfig.nodeId, threads
WriteIdempotent). Under v3 the read/write/subscribe/history reference handed to
the driver is the tag's RawPath identity; the driver resolves it in two stages:
RawPath -> nodeId string (instance TryResolve) -> live NodeId re-bound against
the session (static TryResolve). Alarm ConditionId + event-history sourceName
stay on the direct session parse (they are upstream node ids, not RawPaths).

- Options: add IReadOnlyList<RawTagEntry> RawTags (Contracts now refs Core.Abstractions).
- Factory: RawTags binds straight into options (no separate DTO); EndpointUrl kept.
- Browser: unchanged (emits neutral BrowseNode DTOs, no TagConfig FullName key).
- Tests: 138 green; new RawPath resolution + factory-binding coverage; migrated
  the stale-session ReadRaw test to author a resolving RawTag.

Contracts + Driver + Browser build clean (0 warn). Wave C wires endpoint->DeviceConfig
and the deploy artifact that populates RawTags.

  Multi-device: ResolveDeviceHost matches entry.DeviceName against options.Devices
  (by name, then host) -> def.DeviceHostAddress (TODO(v3 WaveC): live host from the
  Device row's DeviceConfig). DiscoverAsync now emits from the table.
- Factory: retire pre-declared tags[] DTO path; bind rawTags; keep Devices.
- Cli: BuildOptions serialises typed defs -> RawTagEntry via ToTagConfig.
- Tests: TwinCATRawTags helper; migrate Tags= -> RawTags=; rename parser tests to
  FromTagConfig; equipment/resolve-host/array tests delivered via RawTags.

Gate: Contracts + Driver build green; Driver.TwinCAT.Tests 192 pass, Cli.Tests 70 pass.

Rename S7EquipmentTagParser -> S7TagDefinitionFactory; TryParse(reference)
-> FromTagConfig(tagConfig, rawPath, out def) (drops the leading-{ heuristic,
keys the def by RawPath, adds inverse ToTagConfig). Replace S7DriverOptions.Tags
(pre-declared S7TagDefinition list) with RawTags (IReadOnlyList<RawTagEntry>);
the driver builds its RawPath->def table from RawTags at Initialize via the
factory (skip+log on miss), resolver is byName-only, DiscoverAsync + init guards
+ address pre-parse now run off that table. Factory retires the pre-declared DTO
tag path (RawTags binding only). Cli BuildOptions serialises typed defs to
RawTagEntry. Tests migrated to a S7RawTags helper + FromTagConfig; parser test
files renamed. Coordinator's EquipmentTagConfigInspector S7 rename left to Wave-B
coordinator; Driver.S7.IntegrationTests (Docker-gated) left red per scope.

Driver.S7 + Cli build green; Driver.S7.Tests 264/264, S7.Cli.Tests 49/49.

Joseph Doherty aafb9d4929 v3(b1-modbus): RawPath identity seam — RawTagEntry-driven Modbus driver
Wave-B EXEMPLAR. Retire the pre-declared/blob-parse tag model; the driver now
builds its RawPath -> definition table from the artifact's RawTagEntry set via a
pure mapper.

- Contracts: rename ModbusEquipmentTagParser -> ModbusTagDefinitionFactory;
  TryParse(reference) -> FromTagConfig(tagConfig, rawPath) (def.Name = rawPath,
  no leading-brace heuristic); add inverse ToTagConfig(def) serializer; keep all
  strict-enum reads + guards; also read stringByteOrder/deadband/coalesceProhibited
  so a RawTagEntry round-trips the full authored def. Inspect() unchanged.
- Options: Tags(IReadOnlyList<ModbusTagDefinition>) -> RawTags(IReadOnlyList<RawTagEntry>).
- Driver: _tagsByName -> _tagsByRawPath (Ordinal); resolver byRawPath-only; build
  the table from RawTags at Initialize threading entry.WriteIdempotent onto each def;
  Discover/Teardown updated.
- Factory: remove ModbusTagDto/BuildTag/ValidateStringLength + ConfigDto.Tags; bind
  RawTags from driver-config JSON.

- Tests: migrate Tags= -> RawTags via ModbusRawTags.Entries helper; parser tests ->

R2-11 Phase C. All six equipment-tag parsers (Modbus/S7/AbCip/AbLegacy/
TwinCAT/Focas) now read enum fields via the new TagConfigJson.TryReadEnumStrict:
absent -> fallback, valid -> parsed, present-but-invalid (typo) -> TryParse
returns false -> EquipmentTagRefResolver.TryResolve false -> driver surfaces
BadNodeIdUnknown, instead of the old lenient path that silently defaulted a
typo to a wrong-width Good.

Modbus flips all three enum fields (region/dataType/byteOrder); the other five
flip dataType. The deploy-time Deployment:TagConfigValidationMode=Error gate is
unchanged and remains the operator pre-flight.

Coverage:
- Six *EquipmentTagParserStrictnessTests inverted from Freeze_typo_* (lenient)
  to Typo_*_rejects_the_tag + Valid_*_still_parses.
- TagConfigJsonTests.TryReadEnumStrict_rejects_only_invalid matrix.
- Driver-level end-to-end proof:
  AbCipEquipmentTagTests.Driver_read_of_a_typod_dataType_ref_surfaces_BadNodeIdUnknown
  drives the real AbCipDriver.ReadAsync through resolve->status.

Golden parity corpus has no typo'd enums, so the flip is a no-op there.
Full solution builds clean; all six driver suites + core + parity + gate green.

Joseph Doherty a5a0f96d49 fix(drivers): harden operator TimeoutMs handling + AbLegacy evict parity

Follow-ups from the fleet-wide read-timeout audit that the S7 R2-01 read-leg
fix (PR #453) prompted. The audit confirmed S7 was the ONLY driver with the
async-read-ignores-socket-timeout hang; these are the two adjacent (non-hang)
findings it surfaced.

1. FOCAS TimeoutMs:0 footgun (the risky one): a non-positive Timeout made
   SynchronizedFocasClient DISABLE its per-call wall-clock ceiling, reverting to
   the caller's long-lived poll token — reintroducing exactly the frozen-peer
   wedge S7 just eliminated, under misconfig. Clamp non-positive TimeoutMs to the
   2s default at the config boundary so the deadline can never be authored away.

2. TimeoutMs validation symmetry: apply the same clamp in the AbCip + AbLegacy
   factories. libplctag's Tag.Timeout setter throws on <=0, faulting tag creation
   on every read/write; clamping keeps a misconfigured TimeoutMs:0 running on the
   default bound instead. (Shared PositiveTimeoutOrDefault helper per factory.)

3. AbLegacy reconnect parity with AbCip: AbLegacy evicted the cached libplctag
   runtime on neither the non-zero-status nor transport-exception read/write path
   (AbCip evicts on both), so a data-path fault recovered only via the probe loop
   / libplctag internals. Added EvictRuntime + wired it into both read and write
   failure paths so a fresh handle is created on the next call.

Tests: FOCAS 265->269 (clamp theory + positive), AbCip 336->339 (clamp theory +
positive), AbLegacy 209->212 (read-nonzero / read-exception / write-nonzero evict).
No production regressions; all three driver suites green.

The R2-01 live gate (S7_1500ConnectTimeoutOutageTests, docker-pause blackhole)
surfaced a real gap the offline fakes couldn't: S7.Net's ReadTimeout/WriteTimeout
map to the TcpClient's ReceiveTimeout/SendTimeout, which govern only SYNCHRONOUS
socket calls — the async read/write paths S7.Net uses ignore them. On an
established-but-frozen peer (frozen PLC / firewall DROP / cable pulled mid-flow,
TCP session still open) a read blocked until the OS TCP stack gave up (minutes),
silently wedging the poll loop: no Bad tick, no reconnect. STAB-14 fixed only the
CONNECT leg (EnsureConnectedAsync CancelAfter); this is its READ-leg sibling.

- New S7OperationDeadline: bounds every data-plane wire op with a wall-clock
  ceiling (= _options.Timeout), surfacing an overrun as TimeoutException. Applied
  in S7PlcAdapter to Read/ReadBytes/Write/WriteBytes/ReadStatus. OpenAsync is left
  to EnsureConnectedAsync's own CancelAfter (not double-bounded).
- IsS7ConnectionFatal now classifies TimeoutException fatal → handle marked dead →
  next EnsureConnectedAsync reopens (connect-timeout fix takes over from there).
- Tests: 5 S7OperationDeadline unit tests (deadline / token-honouring / caller-
  cancel-passthrough / resultless), 1 driver-reaction test (read TimeoutException
  → reopen). Driver.S7.Tests 260/260.
- Live gate S7_1500ConnectTimeoutOutageTests now GREEN against the real snap7 sim
  (8s: baseline Good -> pause blackhole -> Bad tick -> unpause -> recovered Good).
