MeshGrpcBoundaryTests replaces the MeshClusterClientBoundaryTests deleted in step 1. Three
self-seeded single-member clusters sharing the ActorSystem name, joined ONLY by gRPC, driving
the REAL CentralCommunicationActor -> MeshGrpcCommandDialer -> Kestrel h2c ->
MeshCommandAuthInterceptor -> NodeCommandGrpcService -> NodeCommunicationActor -> EventStream:
1. No_cross_mesh_Akka_association_forms_between_central_and_either_site — the program's own
point, kept as a test rather than a live-gate note: each cluster stays single-member and
none ever holds another's address as a member.
2. One_dispatch_through_central_reaches_a_node_in_every_cluster_mesh — the fan, with each
site holding its OWN per-cluster PSK, so a dial that selected the wrong cluster's key
would be refused at the far side.
3. Falsifiability_control_a_dial_carrying_the_wrong_cluster_key_delivers_nothing — without
it, (2) cannot distinguish "the gRPC boundary carried it" from "something else in the
process did". The same node then accepts the right key, so the silence is the auth gate
and not a dead endpoint.
All three run fully offline — no Docker fixture — and pass.
Comment sweep across every remaining clusterclient|receptionist hit in src/ and tests/:
the program label becomes "mesh gRPC command plane", and every comment that described the
deleted transport as live now describes what actually runs (Dps = pair-local default,
Grpc = cross-mesh). mesh_transport.proto's header/service comments are reworded; no message,
field or enum is touched — the contract is locked. MeshCommActorPathTests is reshaped rather
than retired: the two paths still exist and still matter, but what a mismatch costs is now a
misleading Unavailable from the gRPC ingress rather than a silently dropped receptionist send.
The only surviving mentions of the old names are the ones that must survive: the fail-closed
rules that name "ClusterClient" as a retired value refused at boot, their tests, and this
test class's own account of what it replaces.
Two independent defects surfaced in review of #520 stage 3.
#532 — Cluster:Roles had no OTOPCUA_ROLES fallback, despite two doc sites
promising one. A node configured only through the env var — which drives ALL of
Program.cs's conditional wiring, so it reads as the authoritative knob — bound an
empty Roles array and joined the cluster carrying no Akka roles at all. It ran,
served, and logged nothing wrong, while central reported "no driver-role nodes
are Up" and every deployment to it timed out. Not hypothetical: the field fix on
wonder-app-vd03 was to hand-add Cluster__Roles__0/1 to a Windows service's
registry environment. Anyone reading the code to diagnose that box would have
concluded from the XML doc that the fallback was already applied.
AddOtOpcUaCluster now post-configures AkkaClusterOptions through the shared
RoleParser.ResolveEffectiveRoles, so BuildClusterOptions (Akka's own member
roles), ClusterRoleInfo, the ControlPlane singleton scope and
ConfigDbApiKeyStore's ClusterId all see one answer. Two sibling validators
(ConfigSource, Telemetry) read Cluster:Roles directly and were exempting the
exact node they exist for — an env-only driver-only node has no ConfigDb and
could sit on ConfigSource:Mode=Direct unchallenged. They resolve the same way now.
Also collapsed the four open-coded `Roles.FirstOrDefault(IsClusterRole)` +
ClusterIdFromRole copies into RoleParser.ClusterIdFromRoles. They had drifted:
three classified the cluster role ordinally, so a verbatim-bound `Cluster-SITE-A`
yielded a null ClusterId — and a null ClusterId applies NO cluster filter, which
made #528's cross-cluster over-grant guard fail OPEN. IsClusterRole is now
case-insensitive; the ClusterId suffix keeps its authored spelling, because
normalizing it would silently rename the Akka role of a running deployment.
#533 — three string-identity rules in one authorization path. AclScopeRef used
default (ordinal) equality while the trie builder filtered ClusterId and hashed
principals OrdinalIgnoreCase; the deploy gate's cross-cluster check was ordinal
too, which was the worse half — it could reject a whole deploy over a ClusterId
case difference the runtime would have accepted. It only worked because resolver
and builder were handed the same NodeAcl instances.
The rule is now stated once, on AclScopeRef, and applied throughout:
identifiers (ScopeId, ClusterId, Principal) compare OrdinalIgnoreCase; path
segments compare Ordinal. AclScopePathResolver re-keys its own maps rather than
documenting a comparer contract for callers, so the two independent producers —
EF at the gate, artifact JSON on the node — cannot diverge from the outside.
PermissionTrieNode.Children stays Ordinal: those are browse names, and Speed /
speed are two nodes that can coexist under one device.
Split PermissionTrieBuildDiagnosticReason.RetiredScopeKind out of
UnresolvedScope. A legacy FolderSegment row and a typo'd id had the same message
and different remedies.
Falsified: five mutations, each reddening only its own guard — remove the
PostConfigure (3 tests), revert IsClusterRole to ordinal (3), revert AclScopeRef
equality (1), revert the resolver's map comparer (6), revert the gate's
comparisons (2), remove the FolderSegment short-circuit (1).
Test isolation: OTOPCUA_ROLES is process-global and xUnit runs classes in
parallel, so the three validator suites that now resolve effective roles share a
non-parallel collection. Without it, cases passing no roles would intermittently
observe another class's env var.
Full solution build clean; full suite green apart from two pre-existing failures
confirmed identical on 3a6b2a1d (PrimaryGateFailoverTests, and
DriverProbeRegistrationTests expecting 10 probe types where 12 now register)
plus the AbLegacy integration suite, which needs a docker fixture.

Makes the /raw device tree addressable by an ACL rule, and builds the
scope-path producer PermissionTrieBuilder has accepted since it was written
but which had no caller anywhere.
The plan for this stage said "add NodeHierarchyKind.Raw, whose path is the
RawPath segments Folder/Driver/Device/TagGroup/Tag". That shape is wrong.
RawFolder.ParentRawFolderId and TagGroup.ParentTagGroupId are both
self-referencing, so folders and tag groups each nest without bound and a real
RawPath is folder…/Driver/Device/group…/Tag. NodeScope was fixed-arity and
PermissionTrie.CollectMatches was five hardcoded steps, so the scope model
could not address a real raw tree at all. NodeScope is now {ClusterId, Kind,
Segments} and the walk is a segment loop. The trie STRUCTURE was already
variable-depth (NodeAclPath.Segments is a list, Children is a recursive
dictionary), so only the walker and the scope record had to change.
Four decisions worth keeping:
- The namespace level became the realm. Level 1 gated on NodeScope.NamespaceId,
but v3 has no Namespace entity — the snapshot was retired when the address
space went dual-namespace, and the identifier appears nowhere in production
outside NodeScope. So the level could only ever fail to match, which silently
made every sub-cluster grant unreachable while cluster grants kept working.
It is now a realm token derived from the scope's Kind, not carried on it, so
the walk and the producer cannot disagree about its spelling.
- Provenance comes from the granting row's own ScopeKind, recorded on TrieGrant
at build time. Depth-derived provenance could not name a raw level at all,
since the depth of "Device" varies with folder nesting.
- The trie comparer moved from OrdinalIgnoreCase to Ordinal. Raw sibling-name
uniqueness is ordinal, so Speed and speed can both exist under one device and
a grant on either would have matched both.
- The null-scopePaths "deterministic test mode" is deleted. It planted
unresolvable rows at a direct child of the trie root, a position the walker
cannot reach, so the grant looked placed and could never match — and every
test using that mode proved nothing about production placement. scopePaths is
now required, and a row that does not resolve is dropped with a diagnostic.
A scope resolves to a LIST of paths: a raw tag projected into N equipments is
reachable at N+1 NodeIds and a write through any of them lands on the same
driver reference, so a Tag-scoped grant covering only the raw node would be
bypassable through a UNS one. The lookup is keyed on (ScopeKind, ScopeId), not
ScopeId alone — ScopeId has no FK and no type discriminator, so an id collision
across entity types would hand a grant the wrong node's paths.
Also closed here, all found by review rather than asked for:
- NodeAcl rows had no deploy-time validation of any kind and were not reachable
from DraftValidator at all (DraftSnapshot carried no NodeAcls). They are now
gated for dangling ids, cross-cluster scopes, blank/contradictory ScopeId, the
retired FolderSegment kind, and undefined ordinals.
- ConfigDbApiKeyStore conferred roles from Cluster-scoped grants authored in ANY
cluster, because it filtered on scope kind with no ClusterId predicate while
ArtifactApiKeyStore read an already-cluster-filtered snapshot. On a fused
admin+driver node that was a cross-cluster over-grant. Its doc comment claimed
the two stores matched.
- The two AdminUI ACL banners still said enforcement was LDAP-group -> role
mapping, which stages 1/2 made false in both directions.
- The /apikeys page was never classified in PageAuthorizationGuardTests, so that
test has been red since the key-minting commit merged — I did not run
AdminUI.Tests before merging stage 4.
Falsified rather than assumed: 8 mutations against the trie tests, 5 against the
deploy gate (including one proving a cross-cluster row is not silently
mis-diagnosed as unresolved), a staged red->green for the over-grant regression,
and the realm gate, the comparer and the malformed-path guard each broken
individually to confirm only their own tests go red.
Node ACLs are still not ENFORCED — nothing constructs a NodeScope or calls the
evaluator yet. That is stages 5 and 6; this stage makes the model able to
express what those will enforce.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015p7wGqy3YpZNCpDzTpGMKo
Stage 1b. Still no enforcement wired — this adds the credential model the
identity cutover (stage 2) will read.
ApiKey holds one principal per key, deliberately. The reason to separate keys
from principals is so many keys share a grant set and rotating a key never
touches an ACL row, and that holds with one principal per key since nothing stops
two keys naming the same principal. A key belonging to several principals at once
buys little and costs a join table. UserAuthorizationState.Principals stays a
list, so adding it later needs no ACL-side change.
ApiKeySecret is the security-critical half and is pure, so it is tested on its
own: otua_<keyId>_<secret>, peppered HMAC-SHA256, FixedTimeEquals. Notes why a
plain HMAC rather than an iterated KDF (the secret is 32 bytes of CSPRNG, and the
call runs inline on session activation, which the SDK serializes server-wide
behind its SessionManager event lock), and fails closed on an unset pepper rather
than hashing under an empty key.
Found and fixed a bug in my own first draft: the key id was url-safe base64,
whose alphabet maps '/' to '_' — the very character TryParse splits on. Roughly
one key in five would have had its id truncated at a random position, an
intermittent auth failure reproducing only for SOME keys. The id is hex now, and
the guard is falsified: reverting the alphabet reds both
The_generated_key_id_never_contains_the_separator and, as a bonus signal,
Two_generated_keys_never_collide, because truncated ids collide.
ApiKeyId is NOT NULL, unlike the nullable NodeAclId precedent whose filtered
unique index would admit two NULL ids. Fine for a config row, not for a
credentials lookup key.
OpcUaServer.csproj now references Core. Until now it did not, so
IPermissionEvaluator was literally uncallable from the node manager — the place
enforcement has to happen. No new transitive package surface.
Schema doc updated for both, and its NodeAcl block flagged for pre-existing drift
(it still documents the GenerationId column v3 dropped) without fixing it here.
Core 247, OpcUaServer 364, Configuration 128 — all green.

The sibling of #521's DriverHostStatus, dead for exactly the same reason. Before this change the
only reference in the entire repo was the DriverInstanceResilienceStatuses DbSet declaration: no
writer, no reader, and the table empty on every deployment.
Its entity doc described two components that were never built — a HostedService sampling the
tracker every ~5 s into this table, and an AdminUI that left-joined it on DriverHostStatus for
display. There is no sampler, that join exists in no razor file, and DriverHostStatus itself was
removed in #521.
Per-cluster mesh Phase 4 also makes the design unbuildable now: AddOtOpcUaConfigDb is gated on the
admin role, so a driver-only node has no ConfigDb connection to write rows with. Any per-node
runtime-status table has this problem.
The live data was never missing — it just does not go through SQL. Resilience counters reach the
AdminUI's DriverStatusPanel as DriverResilienceStatusChanged over the driver-resilience-status
telemetry channel into the in-memory IDriverResilienceStatusStore. Verified consumed: the panel
injects the store, fed by both DriverResilienceStatusBridge (DPS) and TelemetryDialSupervisor
(gRPC).
If breaker HISTORY across a central restart is ever wanted — the one thing the last-value-only
store cannot give — it needs a CENTRAL-side writer fed by that stream, never a driver-node writer.
Keeping an empty table now bought nothing toward that.
Migration DropDriverInstanceResilienceStatusTable; the scaffolder's data-loss warning cannot bite
on a table nothing ever inserted into, and Down() recreates it exactly.
Also corrected: DriverResilienceStatusTracker's doc-comment claimed CurrentInFlight fed
DriverInstanceResilienceStatus.CurrentBulkheadDepth "until the full telemetry observer lands". The
observer landed in Phase 5; the table never had a writer.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015p7wGqy3YpZNCpDzTpGMKo
The tier system was documented, operator-authorable, and inert. Deleted rather than activated,
because its premise is gone rather than merely unused.
"Tier C" meant a driver running out-of-process behind an IDriverSupervisor that could restart its
Host without tearing down the OPC UA session. No such process exists anywhere: Galaxy reaches
MXAccess over gRPC to the external mxaccessgw sidecar (PR 7.2 retired the in-process
Galaxy.Host/Proxy/Shared projects) and FOCAS has run in-process since its managed wire client
landed 2026-04-24. Consistently, IDriverSupervisor had ZERO implementations and there was nothing
for one to implement against.
The issue understated the inertness. It says the Tier-C-only protections never engaged, implying
the Tier A/B parts did. They did not: nothing constructs MemoryTracking, MemoryRecycle or
ScheduledRecycleScheduler outside their own unit tests, so the whole Core/Stability recycle layer
was dead — meaning option (a), "pass real tiers", was never a flag flip. It would have meant
writing the wiring that never existed AND arming it.
Deleted: MemoryTracking, MemoryRecycle, ScheduledRecycleScheduler, IDriverSupervisor, the
vestigial DriverTypeRegistry (referenced only by its own tests), and the RecycleIntervalSeconds
knob — which the AdminUI let an operator author and the parser validated while it configured
nothing.
DriverTier itself SURVIVES and is load-bearing: DriverResilienceOptions.GetTierDefaults supplies
the real per-capability timeout/retry/breaker policies via DriverFactoryRegistry.GetTier and
DriverCapabilityInvokerFactory. Only the isolation-and-recycle layer above it is gone.
Deliberately NOT deleted:
- WedgeDetector came along in the same directory and is equally dead in production, but it is
tier-agnostic and is not recycle machinery — it only shares the folder. Restored rather than
swept up in a decision that was not about it.
- IDriver.GetMemoryFootprint() and FlushOptionalCachesAsync() lose their only consumer here.
Removing them touches all 12 drivers and every test stub, so they are documented as
consumerless and filed as #525 instead of buried in this diff.
Compatibility: a deployed ResilienceConfig blob still carrying "recycleIntervalSeconds" parses
cleanly (unknown keys are ignored — guarded by a new test, because a blob that suddenly failed to
parse would fall back to tier defaults and silently discard the operator's real overrides), and
the AdminUI's preserve-unknown-keys bag keeps the key rather than rewriting stored config on an
unrelated edit.
The 01/U-6 knob-inertness guard carried an explicit carve-out admitting RecycleIntervalSeconds was
dormant and out of scope; that carve-out is now gone, so the expected set is literally what the
test's name claims.
Note: Host.IntegrationTests has 2 failures (DriverProbeRegistrationTests.is_idempotent,
PrimaryGateFailoverTests) — verified pre-existing by reproducing both on clean master dc9d947b.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015p7wGqy3YpZNCpDzTpGMKo
`IHostConnectivityProbe` was a dead surface: eleven drivers implement it, `GetHostStatuses()`
had ZERO production call sites, and `OnHostStatusChanged` had no subscriber outside the Galaxy
driver's own aggregator. Per-host connectivity was computed by every driver and read by nobody.
The issue offered "build the publisher or delete it". The publisher as its entity doc described
it — driver nodes upserting `DriverHostStatus` rows — is not buildable: per-cluster mesh Phase 4
gates `AddOtOpcUaConfigDb` on the `admin` role, so a driver-only node has no ConfigDb connection
to write rows with. So the capability is kept and the transport changed.
`DriverHealthChanged.HostStatuses` now carries the probe result to `/hosts` as a Hosts column.
That channel already reached the page, already survives the mesh split via the Phase 5 gRPC
telemetry stream, and already replays a last-value snapshot on re-subscribe — so per-host state
re-primes after a reconnect without a durable store. Both halves of the interface finally do
what they are for: the event triggers a prompt publish, the pull is the source of truth.
The point of the column is the case the driver-level state chip structurally cannot express: a
multi-device driver stays aggregate-Healthy while ONE of its devices is unreachable.
Two traps, both pinned by tests that were falsified against the prod code:
- The host digest MUST be in the publish fingerprint. On a single-host-down transition every
other fingerprint component is unchanged, so the dedup would swallow exactly the publish
carrying the news — the trap that already bit the rediscovery signal. Removing it turns the
guard test red, verified.
- null (no probe) must stay distinct from empty (probe with no hosts). proto3 cannot tell an
absent repeated field from an empty one, hence the explicit `has_host_statuses` flag;
collapsing them would render every probe-less driver as one whose devices are all fine.
Dropped: the DriverHostStatus entity, enum, DbSet, model config and table (migration
DropDriverHostStatusTable — empty on every deployment, so the scaffolder's data-loss warning is
moot, and Down() recreates it exactly).
Found en route, NOT fixed here: `DriverInstanceResilienceStatus` is the identical defect — no
writer, no reader, only a DbSet declaration, while the live data rides the
`driver-resilience-status` telemetry channel. Its doc-comment now states that rather than
describing the sampler and AdminUI join that were never built. Filed as #524 rather than widening
this schema change beyond what was asked.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015p7wGqy3YpZNCpDzTpGMKo
`ClusterNode.DriverConfigOverridesJson` is the third surface a Sql driver's config
is persisted on, and the only one nothing gated. It is a map keyed by
`DriverInstanceId` merged onto the cluster-level `DriverConfig`, so a literal
`connectionString` pasted there leaks exactly as one pasted into the driver — the
leak #498 closed for `DriverInstance.DriverConfig` and `Device.DeviceConfig`.
Gated at the SAVE, not at the deploy — a deliberate departure from both options the
issue offered:
- `DraftSnapshot` carries no `ClusterNode` rows, and adding them would widen the
snapshot and every builder of one for a single rule about a value that never
enters the artifact.
- More to the point, a deploy gate is the wrong instrument here. Node overrides are
not in the artifact, so blocking a deploy would not stop the credential being
stored — it is already in the database and replicated by then. Refusing the save
is the only point where "refuse to store it" is literally true, which is #498's
own framing: discarding a secret on read is not the same as refusing to store it.
The check moves into a shared `SqlCredentialGuard` so the two enforcement points
cannot drift; `DraftValidator` now calls it instead of its own private helper.
Kept deliberately narrow — the `Sql` driver's `connectionString` only, and only for
instance ids that ARE Sql drivers. The issue asked whether to generalise to
credential-shaped keys across every driver type; not doing that, for the same
reason #498 did not: a broader sweep would start refusing configs that are
legitimate today for drivers which never made an indirect-credential guarantee,
which is a regression rather than defence in depth. Widen per driver, as each gains
its own contract.
The error names the offending driver instance(s) and NEVER the value — it reaches
the AdminUI and the audit trail.
14 new cases cover both halves, including the case variants (System.Text.Json binds
`ConnectionString` to `connectionString`, so a case variant is the same key, not a
bypass), non-Sql ids being ignored, and every blank/malformed/non-object shape.
The Sql driver's "a pasted literal connection string is never persisted" guarantee was
enforced only on the READ path: SqlDriverConfigDto has no connectionString property and
UnmappedMemberHandling.Skip drops the key on deserialization. Nothing stopped it being
WRITTEN. Config blobs are schemaless JSON columns and the fallback authoring pattern for
a driver without a typed form is a raw-JSON textarea, so an operator pasting
{"connectionString":"Server=...;Password=..."} would put a live credential in the
ConfigDb — persisted, replicated to every node's artifact cache, readable by anyone with
config access — while the runtime silently ignored it and the driver failed to connect.
Discarding a secret on read is not the same as refusing to store it.
DraftValidator.ValidateSqlConnectionStringNotPersisted fails the deploy
(SqlConnectionStringPersisted) when a Sql-typed driver instance's DriverConfig, or the
DeviceConfig of any device beneath it, carries a top-level connectionString key.
- Both surfaces are checked because DeviceConfig is merged onto DriverConfig before the
DTO sees it — a credential pasted into the device blob is the identical leak.
- The key is matched case-insensitively: System.Text.Json binds ConnectionString to a
connectionString property by default, so an ordinal match would leave the obvious
bypass open.
- Only the top level is scanned; the DTO is flat, so a nested occurrence cannot bind and
is not the mistake this rule exists to catch.
- The message never echoes the value — validation errors reach the AdminUI, the deploy
log and the audit trail, and repeating the string there would leak the credential the
rule is refusing to store. Pinned by a test.
- Malformed/blank/non-object JSON never throws: a parse failure would take down every
other rule in the same pass.
16 tests. Verified falsifiable — with the rule disabled the 6 positive assertions fail
and the 10 negatives stay green, so none of them passes vacuously.
Design §8.2's "if an inline connectionString is ever permitted (dev convenience only),
the AdminUI redacts it" carve-out is withdrawn in the same change: redaction only hides a
credential that has already been written.
Not covered, and filed as a follow-up: ClusterNode.DriverConfigOverridesJson is a third
persistence surface for a driver config blob, but it is not part of DraftSnapshot, so
this validator cannot see it.
Scripted-alarm condition state lives in LocalDb (Phase 4); the ConfigDb-backed
Ef store + ScriptedAlarmState table are now dead. Removes the test-harness Ef
fallback (a DB-backed node with no store now skips the alarm host), deletes the
store + entity + model config, and drops the table via migration.

Additive only — two AddColumn ops, no AlterColumn, so no accumulated model
drift is riding along with this change:
ALTER TABLE [ClusterNode] ADD [AkkaPort] int NOT NULL DEFAULT 4053;
ALTER TABLE [ClusterNode] ADD [GrpcPort] int NULL;
Adds a third test covering the DB-side default specifically. The entity
round-trip cannot see it: ClusterNode.AkkaPort's CLR initializer is also 4053,
so that assertion passes with the mapping default deleted. The new test inserts
through raw SQL with the column omitted, so only the schema can supply the
value — verified by setting defaultValue: 0, which turns exactly that one test
red and leaves the other two green.
Configuration.Tests 95/95.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GASWkNEi68FSCtvr6rLoEW
Per-cluster mesh Phase 1 groundwork. Once the meshes split (Phase 2) central
can no longer see a site node's appsettings, so the transport ports it must
dial have to live in a row central can read.
AkkaPort is non-nullable with a 4053 default — every node listens on a
remoting port, so 0 is never a truthful value and pre-existing rows must
migrate to something real. GrpcPort is nullable with no default: nothing
listens on it until Phase 5, and a non-null default would assert a port that
does not exist.
Both are documented as central's dial targets rather than the node's own
binding config; the duplication against Cluster:Port is reconciled in Task 4.
The new SchemaCompliance test is red until the migration lands (Task 2).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GASWkNEi68FSCtvr6rLoEW
Never registered in DI and dead since Phase 6.1. Keeping two unwired cache designs
invites the next reader to wire the wrong one.
Deletes all three test files - LiteDbConfigCacheTests.cs was missing from the plan's
list and would have failed to compile (it calls new LiteDB.LiteDatabase directly).
StaleConfigFlagTests lives inside ResilientConfigReaderTests.cs, so it goes too.
The XML-doc reference in ILdapGroupRoleMappingService is rewritten rather than removed:
it now records that no sign-in fallback exists and that reviving one means an admin-side
cache on LocalDb.
Semantic collision git auto-merged: WP2 and WP4 each added a BuildReference
helper to the DraftValidatorTests partial class (same param types -> CS0111).
Kept one with the refId param name + default null, satisfying both call styles.

Implements IEffectiveNameGuard (the Wave-A contract): per-equipment effective-name
uniqueness across UnsTagReferences (DisplayNameOverride else backing raw tag Name),
VirtualTags (Name), and ScriptedAlarms (Name). Ordinal comparison, self-row exclusion
by (kind, id), one pooled context per CheckAsync call. Registered Scoped in
EndpointRouteBuilderExtensions so WP1's UnsTreeService consumer goes live.
Verified the deploy-time DraftValidator UnsEffectiveNameCollision rule already
computes reference effective names from the backing raw tag's current Name (catches
rename-induced collisions), spans all three sources, compares ordinal, and names both
colliding sources + the equipment — no hardening needed. DraftSnapshotFactory already
loads Tags/UnsTagReferences/VirtualTags/ScriptedAlarms.
Tests: 8 guard tests (in-memory EF) + 3 deploy-gate tests (rename-induced collision,
override-vs-VT, ordinal case-sensitivity). All green.

Adds the Calculation pseudo-driver (tags computed by C# scripts over other tags' live
values) plus the host seam that feeds it:
- IDependencyConsumer capability interface (Core.Abstractions) + DriverTypeNames.Calculation.
- CalculationDriver : IDriver, ISubscribable, IReadable, IDependencyConsumer — change-gate +
dedupe (VirtualTagActor parity), timer-group scheduler, Bad-transition + script-log emission,
Good recovery; reuses the T0-4 CalculationEvaluator.
- DriverHostActor spawns a DependencyConsumerMuxAdapter per dependency-consuming driver,
registering its refs on the per-node DependencyMuxActor and forwarding DependencyValueChanged
→ OnDependencyValue; re-registers on every apply, torn down with the driver.
- Factory + probe registered in DriverFactoryBootstrap (keeps the T0-3 guard green); guard test
csproj references the driver so the bin-scan discovers the factory.
- DeploymentArtifact injects the resolved scriptSource (scriptId → SourceCode) into a calc tag's
delivered TagConfig so the host-blind driver can compile it.
- DraftValidator deploy gates: CalculationScriptMissing / CalculationScriptNotFound (scriptId
existence) + CalculationDependencyCycle (DependencyGraph.DetectCycles over calc→calc edges).
- Tests: driver units (dep-ref extraction, change-gate, dedupe, Bad+script-log+recovery, timer,
read), tag-config parsing, DraftValidator gates (self/2-cycle/cross-driver-terminal), and a
Runtime integration test proving values FLOW mux → adapter → driver → calc-of-calc end-to-end.

The OPC UA address-space build pipeline was named after a v2-roadmap

Phase7CompositionResult -> AddressSpaceComposition
Phase7Planner -> AddressSpacePlanner

Phase7ApplyOutcome -> AddressSpaceApplyOutcome
The 9 Phase7*Tests suites follow suit; Phase7ScriptingEntitiesTests ->

Pure mechanical rename, no behavioral change. EF migration classes/IDs
(AddPhase7ScriptingTables, ExtendComputeGenerationDiffWithPhase7) are

No code, logic, or test bodies changed — comments and one test method name only.
All five suppressed advisories are now resolved at baseline/resolved versions,

- OPCFoundation Opc.Ua.Core (GHSA-h958-fxgg-g7w3) -> fixed at resolved 1.5.378.106
Two were still live and are now patched via direct security pins:
- OpenTelemetry.Api 1.9.0 -> 1.15.3 (GHSA-g94r-2vxg-569j) pinned in Cluster;
Runtime/ControlPlane/AdminUI + tests inherit via project reference
- Tmds.DBus.Protocol 0.20.0 -> 0.21.3 (GHSA-xrw6-gwf8-vvr9) pinned in Client.UI
Also correct the Historian sidecar runtime comments (x86 -> x64, matching the
csproj PlatformTarget). Solution audit: 0 vulnerable packages; full build clean.
Filter ExternalIdReservations to WHERE ReleasedAt IS NULL so
DraftSnapshot.ActiveReservations matches its documented semantics and
ValidateReservationPreflight cannot emit spurious BadDuplicateExternalIdentifier
errors from already-released rows. Adds a focused unit test seeding one active
and one released reservation and asserting only the active row is returned.
Persist the canonical AuditOutcome and make structured audit rows visible.
- ConfigAuditLog gains a nullable Outcome column, stored as the AuditOutcome
enum member name (nvarchar(16), mirroring how AdminRole is persisted). The
AuditWriterActor flush now writes Outcome = evt.Outcome.ToString(). Nullable so
legacy rows and the bespoke stored-procedure path (no derived outcome) write
NULL.
- Migration 20260602135350_AddConfigAuditLogOutcome: additive nullable column,
no backfill. Up adds the column, Down drops it. Chains after
20260602112419_CanonicalizeAdminRoles; `dotnet ef migrations
has-pending-model-changes` is clean.
- ClusterAudit visibility fix: the page filtered solely on ClusterId, but the
structured AuditWriterActor path stamps NodeId (ClusterId null), so those rows
were invisible. Extracted ClusterAuditQuery.ForClusterAsync (shared by the page
and tests) which ORs in rows whose NodeId belongs to a node in the cluster —
membership resolved from ClusterNode (NodeId -> ClusterId). SP-path
ClusterId-stamped rows still match.
Tests: ControlPlane 45/45 (adds Outcome persistence + Denied-outcome asserts);
new Configuration ClusterAuditQueryTests 3/3 (both-paths visible, other-cluster
excluded, page-size cap); AdminUI 121/121. Configuration Unit suite is green on a
clean run (a pre-existing timing flake in ResilientConfigReaderTests, untouched
here, occasionally fails under parallel load and passes in isolation).
Standardize the control-plane admin role VALUES on the canonical six
(ZB.MOM.WW.Auth CanonicalRole). OtOpcUa uses four:
ConfigViewer -> Viewer
ConfigEditor -> Designer
FleetAdmin -> Administrator
DriverOperator -> Operator (appsettings-only string role)
This is a rename, not a permission change: enforcement semantics are
preserved (whoever could deploy/administer/operate before still can).
- AdminRole enum members renamed (persisted as string names via
HasConversion<string>); RoleGrants.razor dropdown default updated.
- EF DATA migration CanonicalizeAdminRoles rewrites existing
LdapGroupRoleMapping.Role rows old->new (Up) and back (Down); schema /
model snapshot byte-identical (no pending model changes).
- Enforcement role STRINGS canonicalized:
* Security policies keep their NAMES ("DriverOperator"/"FleetAdmin")
but require canonical roles: RequireRole("Operator","Administrator")
and RequireRole("Administrator").
* Deployments.razor [Authorize(Roles="Administrator,Designer")].
* DevStub now grants "Administrator"; LdapOptions/doc-comment examples
canonicalized.
- Data-plane authorization (NodePermissions/NodeAcl/IPermissionEvaluator/
TriePermissionEvaluator/UserAuthorizationState) UNTOUCHED.
- New CanonicalAdminRolesTests pins canonical claim values end-to-end and
the real registered policies; existing role-string tests updated.
The driver/factory/seed use 'GalaxyMxGateway' (legacy 'Galaxy' was retired),
but the AdminUI editor router, GalaxyDriverPage, address picker, identity
dropdown, the Galaxy browser/probe, and DraftValidator still keyed on 'Galaxy'.
Result: the seeded GalaxyMxGateway driver couldn't be edited ('no editor
registered'), UI-created Galaxy drivers wrote a type with no factory, and a
SystemPlatform-bound GalaxyMxGateway driver failed publish validation.
Align all stragglers to GalaxyMxGateway (+ failing-test-first DraftValidator
coverage). ShouldStub's 'Galaxy' legacy safety-net left intact.
Adds <summary>, <param>, <typeparam>, and <inheritdoc/> tags to public
members surfaced by commentchecker — resolves 5,847 of 5,869 issues
(99.6%) across three /fixdocs passes.
Task 56: removes the legacy in-process Server + Admin Web project + their test
projects (Server.Tests, Admin.Tests, Admin.E2ETests). The fused OtOpcUa.Host
binary built across Phases 1-9 is now the sole production entry point.
What happened to the 47 legacy Admin Blazor pages: per follow-up F15, the
v1 architecture's draft/publish UX is replaced by v2's live-edit + snapshot-
deploy model, so a 1:1 migration is not meaningful. The mechanical move via
git mv preserves the history; service classes + page bodies that referenced
removed v1 types (ConfigGeneration, RedundancyRole, GenerationId) were
deleted. AdminUI now ships a minimal Home page + the v2 Deployments page.
Per-page rebuild against the v2 surface is tracked as F15. The v2 Deployments
page (Task 52) is the only first-party UI shipping in this PR.
Task 57: solution build green; 84+ tests green across active v2 + legacy
driver test projects.
Phase 1f — the consolidator migration. Closes out the v2 entity-model
rewrite by emitting a single EF migration that captures the cumulative
schema delta from 14a (RowVersion) through 14e (drop generation entities).
Generated: src/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration/Migrations/
20260526081556_V2HostingAlignment.cs (1562 lines)
20260526081556_V2HostingAlignment.Designer.cs
Migration shape (per `grep -nE migrationBuilder.\(...)`):
Drop 12 ForeignKey constraints (one per live-edit entity's GenerationId FK)
Drop 2 Tables (ConfigGeneration, ClusterNodeGenerationState)
Drop 45 Indexes (every UX_*_Generation_* and IX_*_Generation_* across the
13 live-edit tables — 1 also dropped the unique-Primary
filtered index UX_ClusterNode_Primary_Per_Cluster)
Drop 13 Columns (12 GenerationId + 1 RedundancyRole)
Add 12 RowVersion columns (one per live-edit entity)
Create 4 Tables (Deployment, NodeDeploymentState, ConfigEdit,
DataProtectionKeys)
Create ~45 Indexes (recreated under the new naming pattern
UX_<Table>_LogicalId / UX_<Table>_<X> with the
GenerationId column stripped from composite keys)
Notable EF quirks accepted:
Unique-on-required-column indexes (UX_VirtualTag_LogicalId etc.) ship a
`filter: "[VirtualTagId] IS NOT NULL"` clause that EF auto-inserts for
SQL Server. Harmless — the column is C#-side `required` so NULL never
appears.

Live `dotnet ef database update` against a scratch SQL Server deferred to
Task 15 (Migrate-To-V2.ps1) — SSH to the docker host needs a key/password I
don't have, and the always-on SQL at 10.100.0.35,14330 uses Integrated
Security (Windows auth, unreachable from this macOS dev). The migration
itself is structurally correct by construction (EF tooling generated it
against the live DbContext model); the live-DB confidence step is the
PowerShell wrapper's job.
SchemaComplianceTests updates:
- All_expected_tables_exist: removed ConfigGeneration +
ClusterNodeGenerationState; added Deployment, NodeDeploymentState,
ConfigEdit, DataProtectionKeys.
- Filtered_unique_indexes_match_schema_spec: removed entries for
UX_ClusterNode_Primary_Per_Cluster (Task 14d) and
UX_ConfigGeneration_Draft_Per_Cluster (Task 14e). Two filtered uniques
remain (UX_ClusterNodeCredential_Value, UX_ExternalIdReservation_KindValue_Active).
- Check_constraints_match_schema_spec: added CK_ConfigEdit_FieldsJson_IsJson.
StoredProceduresTests update:
- Removed RedundancyRole + 'Primary' from the raw INSERT into ClusterNode
so the DB-backed test runs against the new schema.
Phase 1d of the v2 entity-model rewrite. The static RedundancyRole column
is replaced by Akka cluster's role-leader-of-"driver" election at runtime
(see RedundancyStateActor + ServiceLevelCalculator in Task 35).
Changes:
- Removed `public required RedundancyRole RedundancyRole` from
ClusterNode entity.
- Removed `e.Property(x => x.RedundancyRole).HasConversion<string>()...`
mapping from OtOpcUaConfigDbContext.ConfigureClusterNode.
- Removed the `UX_ClusterNode_Primary_Per_Cluster` filtered unique index
(filter referenced [RedundancyRole]='Primary').
- Dropped `using ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration.Enums` from ClusterNode.cs
(no longer needed).
- Deleted `Enums/RedundancyRole.cs` — the enum is unused in v2-kept code.
- DraftValidator: dropped the "exactly one Primary per cluster"
validation block. Comment in place explaining v2 picks primary at
runtime via Akka.
- DraftValidatorTests: dropped ValidateClusterTopology_flags_multiple_Primary
test; reworked BuildNode helper to no longer take a `role` argument.
Untouched (Server + Admin still reference RedundancyRole; accepted broken
per Task 56 policy):
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Server/Redundancy/{ClusterTopologyLoader,
RedundancyStatePublisher, RedundancyTopology, ServiceLevelCalculator}.cs
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Admin/Services/RedundancyMetrics.cs
DB-runtime tests will fail against the new schema (Task 14f's migration
drops the column) — to be updated in Task 14f's SchemaComplianceTests
update:
- SchemaComplianceTests.cs:55 (expected filtered index list)
- StoredProceduresTests.cs:263 (raw INSERT names the column)

Phase 1c of the v2 entity-model rewrite. Deletes the draft/publish lifecycle
machinery that v2 replaces with AdminOperationsActor + ConfigComposer +
DriverInstanceActor.ApplyDelta.
Deleted (6 files):
src/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration/Apply/
IGenerationApplier.cs — interface for the apply pipeline
GenerationApplier.cs — the v1 applier coordinating per-driver hook-back
GenerationDiff.cs — typed wrapper over the sp_ComputeGenerationDiff
SQL output
ApplyCallbacks.cs — per-driver hook surface invoked by the applier
ChangeKind.cs — enum {Added, Modified, Removed, Unchanged}
tests/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration.Tests/GenerationApplierTests.cs
The empty Apply/ directory is removed.
Kept (repurposed in Task 39 for stale-config fallback):
src/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration/LocalCache/GenerationSealedCache.cs
src/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration/LocalCache/ResilientConfigReader.cs
tests/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration.Tests/GenerationSealedCacheTests.cs
tests/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration.Tests/ResilientConfigReaderTests.cs
Naming rename (GenerationSealedCache -> DeploymentArtifactCache) deferred
to Task 39 (DriverHostActor stale-config fallback) where the consumer is
written. The type stays available under its v1 name until then.
IDriver.cs doc-comment: replaced the "Used by IGenerationApplier..." sentence
with "Invoked by the v2 DriverInstanceActor when ApplyDelta reports that only
this driver's config changed in the new deployment."
Server/Admin breakage from Task 14b unchanged (70 errors). Configuration +
Core.Tests + Configuration.Tests stay green.
src/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration -> 0 errors
tests/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Configuration.Tests -> 0 errors

Adds Directory.Packages.props (ManagePackageVersionsCentrally) and
Directory.Build.props (net10.0/nullable/implicit usings/LangVersion latest).
Strips Version attributes from every csproj PackageReference and consolidates
versions into the central file.
Side fixes (necessary to keep the build green on .NET SDK 10.0.105 on macOS):
- Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.CSharp{,.Workspaces}: 5.3.0 -> 5.0.0. The 5.3.0
analyzer DLL references compiler 5.3.0.0 and the local SDK ships compiler
5.0.0.0, producing CS9057 on every project that loaded the Analyzers
output. Master itself was broken on this machine pre-change.
- Server + Server.Tests pin OPCFoundation.NetStandard.Opc.Ua.{Configuration,
Client} to 1.5.374.126 via VersionOverride, matching Opc.Ua.Server's
pin. Mixing 1.5.378.106 Opc.Ua.Core transitively with 1.5.374.126
Opc.Ua.Server breaks CustomNodeManager2 override signatures
(CS0115 on LoadPredefinedNodes/Browse/HistoryRead*) and CS7069 in
the tests. The pin disappears when the legacy Server project is
deleted in Task 56.
- Client.UI + Client.UI.Tests: NuGetAuditSuppress for
GHSA-xrw6-gwf8-vvr9 (Tmds.DBus.Protocol 0.20.0 reaches both projects
transitively from Avalonia.Desktop on Linux/macOS only).
Deviation from the plan: TreatWarningsAsErrors=true is NOT set in
Directory.Build.props because the pre-v2 Admin/Server test projects carry
~240 xUnit1051 analyzer warnings that would fail the build. New v2 projects
opt in via their own csproj; the global flag can return once the legacy
projects are deleted in Task 56.
- Configuration-004: NodePermissions stored as int to match the EF
HasConversion<int>() in OtOpcUaConfigDbContext.ConfigureNodeAcl.
- Configuration-005: serialise LiteDbConfigCache.PutAsync so concurrent
Put for the same (ClusterId, GenerationId) cannot duplicate rows.
- Configuration-007: rethrow OperationCanceledException from
GenerationApplier.ApplyPass when the caller's token is cancelled.
- Configuration-010: scrub secrets and drop the full exception object
from the ResilientConfigReader fallback warning log.
- Configuration-011: pin the previously-uncovered GenerationApplier
cancellation and path-length / publish-validation paths.
