Joseph Doherty 2c3518da0b feat(mtconnect): make an MTConnect driver creatable + configurable in /raw (Task 18 Part B)
An MTConnect driver instance could not be authored at all: RawDriverTypeDialog
(the only DriverInstance creation surface) offered a hardcoded 9-entry list
without it, and DriverConfigModal's default: branch renders a warning with no
raw-JSON fallback — so even a hand-inserted row could not be configured and
DriverConfig stayed "{}", on which ParseOptions throws "missing required
AgentUri".

Adds the typed MTConnectDriverForm (the consistent sibling pattern) covering
agentUri / deviceName / the four polling knobs / probe / reconnect, wires the
dispatch case, and offers the type in the dialog.

- All decisions live in the static MTConnectDriverForm.BuildConfigJson +
MTConnectFormModel (plain C#), because this project has no bUnit.
- The wire shape mirrors the driver's private MTConnectDriverConfigDto, NOT
MTConnectDriverOptions: the latter's TimeSpan probe knobs would serialise as
"00:00:05" and never bind to the driver's integer intervalMs.
- arch-review 01/S-6: a non-positive timing knob is REMOVED from the document
rather than written, so ParseOptions substitutes the driver's own positive
default instead of the driver faulting at Initialize on RequirePositive.
Removal (not just skipping) also stops a stale positive value surviving and
disagreeing with what the form shows.
- Unknown top-level keys survive a load/save, so the driver's hand-authored
tags[] surface is not silently deleted by opening the form.
- _jsonOpts carries JsonStringEnumConverter, satisfying the
DriverPageJsonConverterTests fleet guard properly rather than by exemption.

New RawDriverTypeDialogCoverageTests resolves the offered set through
DriverTypeNames. All, so the next registered driver fails here until the dialog
offers it.

Joseph Doherty d760f5a8be feat(mtconnect): typed AdminUI tag-config editor + browse round-trip (Task 18 Part A)
Registers the MTConnect typed tag editor in TagConfigEditorMap /
TagConfigValidator (keyed off DriverTypeNames.MTConnect, never a literal) and
adds the razor shell over Task 17's MTConnectTagConfigModel.

The shell stays trivial: the /probe-sourced mtCategory/mtType/mtSubType/units
row is rendered disabled + readonly with NO binding of any kind, and no
inferred-type hint is shown — MTConnectDataTypeInference.Infer() also keys on
the DataItem `representation`, which the tag-config model does not carry, so
calling it here would agree with the browse picker for ordinary items and
silently disagree for exactly the DATA_SET/TABLE/TIME_SERIES ones.

Also fixes the picker -> editor round trip, which was broken in both
directions:

- RawBrowseCommitMapper.BuildTagConfig had no MTConnect branch, so a committed
tag landed as the generic {"address": "<dataItemId>"} while the model read
only `fullName`. The data plane kept working (the driver accepts all three id
spellings), so the only symptom was an empty DataItem-id field in the editor
  — and saving from that state stamped fullName:"" over the tag.
- MTConnectTagConfigModel.FromJson now accepts dataItemId/address as fallbacks
(fixing tags committed before this change) and ToJson normalises onto
`fullName`, dropping the aliases so the two spellings cannot drift.

Joseph Doherty a36f3418f2 feat(mtconnect): typed AdminUI tag-config model (Task 17)
MTConnectTagConfigModel: pure FromJson/ToJson/Validate for the MTConnect
tag TagConfig JSON blob, mirroring ModbusTagConfigModel/OpcUaClientTagConfigModel.
Fields: fullName (DataItem@id, required), dataType (DriverDataType override,
written as an enum name string), mtCategory/mtType/mtSubType/units (probe
metadata), mtDevice/mtComponent (author context). Preserves unknown JSON
keys across load->save (isHistorized/historianTagname and anything else).

Guards against the enum-serialization trap (numeric dataType would fault the
driver at deploy) both on write (always TagConfigJson.Set via enum name) and
on read (Validate() rejects a dataType that was stored as a bare digit
string, since Enum.TryParse silently accepts numeric text).

AdminUI.csproj gains a ProjectReference to Driver.MTConnect.Contracts,
matching the existing POCO-only driver-Contracts pattern used by the other
six typed tag editors.

Scope: pure model only (Task 17). The razor editor shell + TagConfigEditorMap/
TagConfigValidator registration is Task 18.

Joseph Doherty 123ddc3f40 fix(scripteditor): complete + hover absolute RawPaths (#490)
v2-ci / build (push) Successful in 4m25s
v2-ci / unit-tests (push) Failing after 14m58s
The issue reports a missing feature. The cause is a stale projection, and the
consequence was worse than the gap described.

`ScriptTagCatalog` still emitted `Tag.TagConfig.FullName` — the pre-v3 driver wire
address. Since v3 the mux key is the **RawPath**: `AddressSpaceComposer` harvests the
`ctx.GetTag("…")` literals into `DependencyRefs`, those become `VirtualTagActor`
dependency refs registered with `DependencyMuxActor`, whose `_byRef` is keyed Ordinal
by `AttributeValuePublished.FullReference` — and a driver's wire ref IS the RawPath
(`DriverHostActor._nodeIdByDriverRef` is keyed `(DriverInstanceId, RawPath)`). The
`{{equip}}/<RefName>` form already substitutes to RawPaths at both compose seams.

So the catalog was wrong in BOTH directions, not merely incomplete: completion
offered paths that could never resolve at runtime, while a CORRECT absolute RawPath
got no completion and hovered as "not a known configured tag path". The file's own
comment admitted the raw/UNS catalog was left for "Batch 2/3" and it never came.

Now projected through the shared `RawPathResolver` — the same byte-parity authority
`DraftValidator` and `AddressSpaceComposer` use — so a suggested path is identical to
the one the deploy gate and the runtime compute. A tag with a broken ancestry chain
resolves to null and is omitted: the runtime could not route it either, so offering
it would be a lie. Hover additionally gains the owning `DriverInstanceId`, which the
topology now makes available (it was always null before).

Editor-accepts <=> publish-accepts is preserved: no diagnostic keys off this catalog
(`OTSCRIPT_EQUIPREF` only marks `{{equip}}` paths), so this changes completion and
hover only — it cannot newly reject a script.

The existing tests pinned the v2 contract and were re-authored: a RawPath only exists
if the RawFolder -> DriverInstance -> Device -> TagGroup -> Tag chain does, so the
seed now builds one. Added coverage for group-nested paths, a driver at the cluster
root (no folder segment), a broken chain being omitted rather than guessed, and the
pre-v3 FullName no longer resolving.

Live-gated on docker-dev (rig rebuilt, both central nodes):
- completion, empty literal -> every RawPath incl. group-nested
  `opcua1/plc/OpcPlc/Telemetry/Basic/AlternatingBoolean`
- completion, prefix `pymod` -> `pymodbus/plc/HR200X`, `pymodbus/plc/ImportedTag`
- hover `pymodbus/plc/HR200X` -> "Tag · Type UInt16 · Driver MAIN-modbus"
- hover an unknown path -> "Not a known configured tag path"

Joseph Doherty 0f38f48679 merge: Modbus RTU-over-TCP transport (#495)
Wave 1 of the driver-expansion program. The branch was complete and live-gated but
had never been merged; it sat 15 commits ahead and 50 behind master.

Purely additive behind the existing IModbusTransport seam — the application protocol
(function codes, codecs, planner, coalescing, write path, probe, materialisation,
HistoryRead) is identical across TCP and RTU; only the wire framing differs
([addr][PDU][CRC-16], no MBAP, no TxId). Zero changes to codecs/planner/health.

Selected by a new Transport config field (ModbusTransportMode: Tcp | RtuOverTcp),
routed through ModbusTransportFactory (throws on unknown mode), with the string-enum
guard on options/DTO/factory and a Transport selector on the AdminUI Modbus form.
ModbusSocketLifecycle was extracted from ModbusTcpTransport (behaviour-preserving)
and is composed by both transports.

Descoped by design: direct-serial (System.IO.Ports) and Modbus ASCII — RTU buses are
reached exclusively via a serial->Ethernet gateway. No per-tag config changes; the
existing per-tag UnitId already makes a multi-drop bus work.

Re-validated against current master at merge time (the branch's own gate predates 50
commits of master): no overlapping files, clean merge, solution builds 0 errors, and
Modbus 344/344, Modbus.Addressing 161/161, AdminUI 740/740, Runtime 507/507,
Configuration 131/131 all pass. Confirmed the Transport selector is still reachable
through master's current authoring path (DriverConfigModal -> ModbusDriverForm), so
the branch's live /run gate result still applies.

Joseph Doherty 47d148daf9 fix(adminui): never slice a DB-sourced string with the range operator (#504)
`Scripts.razor` rendered a hash prefix as `@s.SourceHash[..12]…`. `SourceHash`
is a plain nvarchar(64) with no length floor, so any value shorter than 12
characters threw ArgumentOutOfRangeException out of BuildRenderTree — unhandled
in Blazor, which takes the WHOLE page to an HTTP 500, not just the offending
row. Live-reproduced on docker-dev, where two Script rows carry `h1` and
`h-abs-hr200`: /scripts was a hard 500.

New `Components/Shared/DisplayText.Abbreviate(string?, int)`:
- null/blank renders the Admin UI's em-dash placeholder rather than throwing;
- a value already within budget renders verbatim with NO ellipsis, so the
display never implies text that isn't there (the old markup appended "…"
  unconditionally, outside the slice — `h1` would have shown as `h1…`);
- a maxLength < 1 is clamped, so a display bug cannot become a page crash.

Applied to every unguarded range-operator slice over a DB-sourced string found
by sweeping the AdminUI for `[..N]`:

  Scripts.razor SourceHash (the reported crash)
Certificates.razor Thumbprint (read off the on-disk store)
  Deployments.razor x2 RevisionHash
  Clusters/ClusterOverview.razor RevisionHash

The other `[..N]` hits are safe and untouched: Guid.ToString("N") slices
(always 32 chars) and the `Length > 60 ? [..60]` ternaries that self-guard.

NOTE — the issue text blamed the docker-dev seed; that was wrong and is
corrected on #504. `seed-clusters.sql` inserts only ServerCluster, ClusterNode
and LdapGroupRoleMapping. The short-hash rows came from earlier live-gate
authoring. A freshly seeded rig is fine; the trigger is any Script row that did
not go through ScriptEdit / UnsTreeService.HashSource — REST-API authored,
hand-inserted, or migrated in.

Tests: 14 new in DisplayTextTests, covering the short/null/blank/clamped cases
and a never-throws sweep over every value x budget combination. AdminUI suite
739/739.

Live-verified on docker-dev (AdminUI has no bUnit): /scripts 500 -> 200 across
both central nodes, rendering `hash=h1` and `hash=h-abs-hr200` in full;
/deployments still truncates 64-char hashes at 12 with the ellipsis;
/certificates and /clusters/MAIN unchanged.

Joseph Doherty b295b24419 feat(adminui): author + configure the Sql driver in /raw
The read-only Sql driver's runtime factory/probe and tag-side editors were
wired, but the AdminUI could not author the DRIVER: the /raw "New driver" type
list, the DriverConfigModal switch, and the legacy identity dropdown all omitted
Sql, and no SqlDriverForm existed. Live-driving the AdminUI surfaced this.

- Add SqlDriverForm.razor over the SqlDriverConfigDto shape: Provider
(SqlServer-only in v1), required connectionStringRef (an env-var NAME, not a
connection string — label is explicit), optional poll/operation/command
timeouts, maxConcurrentGroups, nullIsBad. Enums serialize by NAME via
JsonStringEnumConverter; a connection-string literal can never be authored
(no such field is collected); rawTags (composer-owned) + allowWrites (inert,
  read-only v1) are never emitted.
- Wire Sql into DriverConfigModal switch, RawDriverTypeDialog type list, and
  DriverIdentitySection legacy dropdown.
- Add SqlDriverFormContractTests: the exact JSON the form emits constructs a
driver through the real factory, missing connectionStringRef is rejected, and
provider round-trips as the "SqlServer" name (never an ordinal).

Joseph Doherty 443b718158 feat(sql): typed AdminUI Sql tag-config model + validator (string enums)
SqlTagConfigModel + SqlRowSelectorModel mirror SqlEquipmentTagParser's
accept/reject boundary byte-for-byte on the fields they own: model/type
serialize as NAME strings (never numbers), KeyValue requires
table+keyColumn+keyValue+valueColumn, WideRow requires table+columnName+a
selector (where-pair OR topByTimestamp), Query is rejected, and unknown keys
(top-level and nested rowSelector) survive load->save. Registered in
TagConfigEditorMap + TagConfigValidator keyed off SqlDriver.DriverTypeName
(DriverTypeNames.Sql is deferred to Task 11). A minimal placeholder
SqlTagConfigEditor.razor lands the map entry now; Task 20 fleshes out the UI.

The load-bearing test rounds editor output back through
SqlEquipmentTagParser.TryParse (editor-output <=> parser-input agreement).

Joseph Doherty d9de4e3019 fix(mesh): serve the artifact regardless of deployment status (Phase 3 live-gate deadlock)
The Phase 3 live gate deadlocked every FetchAndCache deploy: DeploymentArtifactGrpcService
gated on Status==Sealed, but central seals a deployment only AFTER every node acks Applied,
and a FetchAndCache node cannot ack until it has fetched the artifact — seal-needs-ack ->
ack-needs-fetch -> fetch-needs-sealed. The node's fetch reached central and passed the
shared-key interceptor, then got a clean NotFound; the #485 apply-failure path correctly
kept last-known-good, but the deploy could never seal.

Direct mode reads the same ArtifactBlob from SQL while the row is still AwaitingApplyAcks,
so the serve path must too. Drop the Sealed gate: serve any deployment whose blob is
non-empty (unknown id / empty blob still collapse to NotFound — existence-hiding + #485).
Access is already gated by the interceptor, so there is no reason to hide a non-sealed
deployment a node is legitimately applying. The Task 2 'non-sealed -> NotFound' test flips
to 'non-sealed with a blob is served'.

Joseph Doherty 7d7de482b7 feat(mesh): central DeploymentArtifactService — stream the sealed artifact, NotFound-hide the rest
Streams a sealed deployment's ArtifactBlob to a fetching driver node in
128-KiB chunks (matching the LocalDb cache chunk size). Unknown id, a
non-sealed deployment, and a zero-length blob all collapse to one
indistinguishable NotFound — existence-hiding plus the #485 serve-side guard
(never stream empty bytes as a valid empty config). The impl is named
DeploymentArtifactGrpcService to avoid colliding with the generated
DeploymentArtifactService container type.

Joseph Doherty 5f72ff851d fix(adminui): make /admin/secrets interactive - wrap the Secrets.Ui page with a render mode (#483)
v2-ci / build (push) Successful in 4m0s
v2-ci / unit-tests (push) Failing after 10m19s
The Secrets.Ui RCL's routable page was routed directly, but this host's
router is deliberately static (cookie SignInAsync needs SSR) with per-page
@rendermode opt-in - a directive the RCL page cannot carry, because the
other three family hosts render it under a globally interactive router
where a nested render mode throws. Routing straight to the RCL page
therefore rendered /admin/secrets with no circuit: it displayed, but every
@onclick was silently dead.

Fix: a host-side wrapper page (Pages/SecretsAdmin.razor) now owns
/admin/secrets, carries the standard per-page InteractiveServer render
mode, re-states the RCL page's own authorization policy (the router only
enforces [Authorize] on the routed component, which is now the wrapper),
and renders the RCL page as an ordinary child. The RCL assembly is
de-registered from both AdditionalAssemblies sites (router + endpoint) so
the route is unambiguous.

Guards: SecretsPageWiringTests pins the render mode (the #483 regression),
route parity with the RCL page, and policy parity; the page census in
PageAuthorizationGuardTests classifies the new page and admits the
secrets:manage policy. AdminUI.Tests 665/665.

Live-verified on the rebuilt docker-dev rig with Playwright: /_blazor
circuit negotiated on /admin/secrets and Add secret opens the editor
(before the fix: zero interactive markers, no circuit, dead click).

Closes #483.

Joseph Doherty f1534920de test(secrets): G-2c guard AdminUI DriverConfig secret: ref round-trip (Task 9)
Verify + regression-guard that the AdminUI driver-config editor persists secret:/
env:/file: refs verbatim and never resolve-then-resaves cleartext (which would
re-leak the secret into the config store, defeating G-2). Confirmed structurally
safe: DriverConfig is persisted as an opaque JSON string via RawTreeService, which
has NO secret-resolver dependency (only the DbContext factory) — resolution is
impossible on the save path. Resolution stays confined to driver-instantiation /
Test-connect (Tasks 7-8); GalaxyDriverBrowser resolves into a connect-scoped local
only, never writing back. Three round-trip tests (OpcUaClient Password/UserCertPassword,
Galaxy ApiKeySecretRef, env:/file: forms) exercise the real RawTreeService seam and
assert byte-identical save→reload. No product change (no leak found). 662 AdminUI tests pass.

Joseph Doherty 96af69e3d2 review(wave-b): close SA {{equip}} authoring gap (M1) + harden parity tests (L3)
MEDIUM-1: the editor<->authoring<->deploy invariant now holds on the ScriptedAlarm
surface too. CreateScriptedAlarmAsync/UpdateScriptedAlarmAsync validate {{equip}}/<RefName>
in BOTH the predicate script and the message template (via ExtractEquipReferenceNamesFromText),
matching what DraftValidator already enforces at deploy. Refactored ValidateEquipTokenAsync
into shared LoadEquipReferenceNamesAsync + CheckEquipReferencesResolve helpers.

LOW-1: LoadEquipReferenceNamesAsync uses IsNullOrEmpty (defense-in-depth) to match
EquipmentReferenceMap.Build; empty override is already normalized->null at the write path.

LOW-3: parity test hardened with two edge cases — unresolved-ref-left-intact (both seams
leave {{equip}}/X identical) and folder+tag-group RawPath ancestry.

Tests: VirtualTagEquipTokenValidationTests 9/9 (+3 SA), parity 4/4 (+2). AdminUI 659/0.

Joseph Doherty 940303276c merge worktree-agent-ad3207d913b3b74e6 (B3-WP4) into v3/batch3-uns-rework 2026-07-16 06:59:22 -04:00
Joseph Doherty dc0d7653b9 feat(v3-batch3): B3-WP4 — {{equip}}/<RefName> reference-relative resolution
Replace the deleted equipment-base-prefix {{equip}} mechanism (impossible now
that equipment is reference-only) with per-reference resolution:
{{equip}}/<RefName> resolves through the owning equipment's UnsTagReference rows
(by effective name) to the backing raw tag's RawPath. Every unresolved <RefName>
is a clear deploy error + authoring rejection + Monaco diagnostic — preserving
"editor accepts <=> publish accepts".

Commons:
- EquipmentScriptPaths: delete DeriveEquipmentBase; SubstituteEquipmentToken now
takes the equipment's reference map (effectiveName -> RawPath) and substitutes
  {{equip}}/<RefName> inside path literals (unresolved left intact, never throws);
  add ExtractEquipReferenceNames (path-literal scoped) +
ExtractEquipReferenceNamesFromText (message templates). Slash syntax replaces
  the v2 dot joint.
- New EquipmentReferenceMap: shared, input-shape-agnostic builder (entity + JSON
sides) over RawPathResolver — the single authority both compose seams + the
validator use, so resolved RawPaths agree byte-for-byte.

Compose seams (byte-parity kept):
- AddressSpaceComposer.Compose + DeploymentArtifact.ParseComposition both build
the per-equipment reference map from UnsTagReferences + Tags + raw topology and
substitute VirtualTag AND ScriptedAlarm-predicate sources before dependency
extraction (runtime dep refs = resolved RawPaths).

Deploy gate + authoring + editor:
- DraftValidator.ValidateEquipReferenceResolution: EquipReferenceUnresolved error
for unresolved {{equip}}/<RefName> in VirtualTag/ScriptedAlarm scripts + alarm
message-template tokens (naming script, equipment, missing ref).
- UnsTreeService.ValidateEquipTokenAsync (Wave-A M1): reference-relative authoring
rejection, replacing the stale DeriveEquipmentBase(empty)->reject-all logic.
- ScriptAnalysisService: {{equip}}/ completion offers the equipment's reference
effective names; DiagnoseAsync flags unresolved refs (OTSCRIPT_EQUIPREF) same as
the deploy gate. Requests carry optional EquipmentId (threaded MonacoEditor ->
  monaco-init.js -> fetch bodies). IScriptTagCatalog.GetEquipmentRelativeLeavesAsync
  repurposed to GetEquipmentReferenceNamesAsync(equipmentId, filter).

Tests: EquipmentScriptPaths substitution/extraction (slash pinned); composer<->
artifact reference-resolution byte-parity; DraftValidator unresolved-ref;
ScriptAnalysis completion+diagnostic; M1 authoring gate. Build clean (0/0); all
five affected suites green.

Joseph Doherty 77bc010ba9 v3 Batch 3 WP1: UNS Equipment Tags tab → reference list + raw-tag picker
Replace the Batch-1-stubbed authored-tag flow with a UnsTagReference list on the
equipment page's Tags tab (v3 reference-only equipment): columns are effective name,
computed raw path, inherited datatype/access (read-only), display-name override
(editable), and remove. The retired equipment-authored-tag editor (TagModal.razor)
is deleted; the VirtualTag and ScriptedAlarm flows are untouched.

- "+ Add reference" opens a new AddReferenceModal that reuses RawTree in a new opt-in
PickerMode (Tag-leaf checkboxes + Device/TagGroup "select all tags below"), scoped
structurally to the equipment's cluster via LoadReferencePickerRootAsync (a single
cluster root — cross-cluster tags are unreachable, not merely hidden). Default /raw
usage is byte-unchanged (PickerMode defaults false).
- UnsTreeService (+ IUnsTreeService) gain the reference mutations:
LoadReferencesForEquipmentAsync (computes each RawPath via the shared RawPathResolver),
  AddReferencesAsync (cluster-checked, all-or-nothing), RemoveReferenceAsync,
SetReferenceOverrideAsync, plus the picker helpers LoadReferencePickerRootAsync /
  LoadDescendantTagIdsAsync.
- Consume IEffectiveNameGuard (constructor-injected, no-op fallback when unregistered):
AddReferences, SetReferenceOverride, and the VirtualTag + ScriptedAlarm create/update
mutations now call CheckAsync before persisting and surface a collision as the failure.
WP2 supplies the implementation + DI registration.
- Drop the retired equipment↔driver binding: remove DriverInstanceId from EquipmentInput,
the ImportEquipmentModal CSV column, the EquipmentPage Details driver select, and the
  dead decision-#122 driver-cluster guard.

Tests: new UnsTreeServiceReferenceTests (add/remove/override, cross-cluster + duplicate
rejection, guard-consumed rejection via a fake guard, RawPath projection, picker helpers);
Equipment/Import test suites rewritten to drop the retired driver-guard cases. AdminUI
suite green (639 passed, 3 skipped); full solution builds 0 errors.

Joseph Doherty 09ff43910c feat(raw): B3-WP3 rename-warning script scan + historized-override refine
Extend RawTreeService.BuildRenameWarningsAsync so a tag/ancestor rename now
raises three warning kinds over the affected (prefix-scanned) tags:

(a) refined — historized WITHOUT a historianTagname override (default tagname
is the moving RawPath, so history forks); a pinned (override) tag no longer
    warns. Count/message adjusted.
(b) unchanged — UNS-referenced (names the equipment).
(c) NEW — substring-scan every Script body for the affected tag's OLD RawPath
(ordinal, false-positives tolerated by design; no AST). OLD RawPaths are
recomputed from the pre-save in-DB topology via RawPathResolver.

CollectTagsBeneath* + TagsForDevices now carry (DeviceId, TagGroupId, Name) so
the OLD RawPath can be rebuilt. Contained entirely within RawTreeService.cs;
IRawTreeService + RawTree.razor untouched (warnings flow through the existing
RawRenameResult.Warnings). Note: a direct tag rename goes through UpdateTagAsync
(UnsMutationResult, no warning surface) so it is out of scope without widening
the interface.

Tests: new RawTreeServiceRenameWarningTests (4) — all-three, pinned-no-warn,
unrelated-empty, ancestor-rename script match. AdminUI.Tests 642 green.

Joseph Doherty b68c313372 feat(uns-v3): implement EffectiveNameGuard authoring-time uniqueness guard (B3-WP2)
Implements IEffectiveNameGuard (the Wave-A contract): per-equipment effective-name
uniqueness across UnsTagReferences (DisplayNameOverride else backing raw tag Name),
VirtualTags (Name), and ScriptedAlarms (Name). Ordinal comparison, self-row exclusion
by (kind, id), one pooled context per CheckAsync call. Registered Scoped in
EndpointRouteBuilderExtensions so WP1's UnsTreeService consumer goes live.

Verified the deploy-time DraftValidator UnsEffectiveNameCollision rule already
computes reference effective names from the backing raw tag's current Name (catches
rename-induced collisions), spans all three sources, compares ordinal, and names both
colliding sources + the equipment — no hardening needed. DraftSnapshotFactory already
loads Tags/UnsTagReferences/VirtualTags/ScriptedAlarms.

Tests: 8 guard tests (in-memory EF) + 3 deploy-gate tests (rename-induced collision,
override-vs-VT, ordinal case-sensitivity). All green.

Joseph Doherty 96471d2345 refactor(adminui): B2-WP8 DriverTypeNames rewire + retire routed driver-authoring flow
Part 1 — rewire the three DriverType dispatch maps from hand-authored string
literals to the canonical DriverTypeNames constants (single source of truth):
- TagConfigEditorMap, TagConfigValidator (AdminUI)
- EquipmentTagConfigInspector (ControlPlane)
This FIXES the live drift ("TwinCat"->TwinCAT, "Focas"->FOCAS). The maps are
OrdinalIgnoreCase so behavior is identical; the value is no future drift.
Calculation is not added to the inspector (no CalculationTagDefinitionFactory.Inspect).
Added TagConfigDriverTypeNameGuardTests pinning the maps to the constants.

Part 2 — retire the routed /clusters/{id}/drivers driver-authoring flow (/raw
Waves A-C now cover driver/device/tag authoring end-to-end):
- Deleted DriverTypePicker, DriverEditRouter, the 8 *DriverPage shells, and the
  ClusterDrivers list page.
- Removed the "Drivers" tab from ClusterNav. Routes /clusters/{id}/drivers* now
simply do not exist -> clean 404.
- The Forms/DeviceForms bodies, shared driver sections, and address pickers used
by the /raw modals are untouched.

Part 3 — updated PageAuthorizationGuardTests census: removed the 10 deleted
ConfigEditor pages + ClusterDrivers, updated group-count comments (ConfigEditor
21->11, AuthenticatedRead 17->16). Removed the now-dead Clusters.Drivers usings
from the 4 *DriverPageFormSerializationTests + the guard test.

Joseph Doherty 1f43449942 feat(adminui): B2-WP6 browse re-target — /raw device browse commits raw tags
Browse device… on a /raw Device/TagGroup opens the discovery-browser modal
against the merged Driver+Device config and commits selected browse leaves as
raw Tag rows under the target, via IRawTreeService.ImportTagsAsync.

- RawBrowseModal.razor: two-tier browse gate (bespoke IDriverBrowser →
universal DiscoveryDriverBrowser via SupportsOnlineDiscovery → disabled),
merged config from LoadMergedProbeConfigAsync, multi-select over
DriverBrowseTree, opt-in 'create matching tag-groups' folder mirror,
  commit via ImportTagsAsync.
- RawBrowseCommitMapper: pure leaf→RawTagImportRow mapper — DriverDataType→
OPC UA type, per-driver address field (nodeId/tagPath/symbolPath/address/
  attributeRef), target-group + mirror path combine. Unit-tested (39 tests).
- DriverBrowseTree: additive multi-select mode (checkboxes + ancestor-path
callback), default off preserves single-select pickers.
- RawTree: OnBrowseDevice wired to the modal (Device + TagGroup menus).

Joseph Doherty 844f93f64f feat(adminui): B2-WP3 driver/device config modals + page-to-form refactor
Extract the 8 typed driver pages into embeddable <Driver>DriverForm bodies
(channel/protocol config) and add per-driver <Driver>DeviceForm bodies
(connection endpoint -> Device.DeviceConfig, v3 endpoint split). New
DriverConfigModal + DeviceModal dispatch by DriverType (DriverTypeNames) for
the /raw tree; Test-connect inside DeviceModal builds the merged Driver+Device
config transiently via DriverDeviceConfigMerger. Routed pages now host the
form bodies and keep working. Round-trip + enum-serialization guard tests for
the Modbus driver form + Modbus device model; retargeted the existing
page-form serialization tests + the _jsonOpts converter guard to the forms.

Joseph Doherty 59ea02d971 feat(adminui): B2-WP5 CSV tag import/export + review grid
Staged CSV tag import (upload -> parse -> review grid with per-row verdicts
-> all-or-nothing commit) and export for the /raw tree Device/TagGroup.

- CsvColumnMap: per-driver typed column <-> TagConfig JSON maps (model-backed
for the 7 typed drivers, raw-key for Galaxy/Calculation) + the common column
dictionary; typed columns merge OVER the TagConfigJson fallback (typed wins).
- RawTagCsvMapper: pure parse (review rows + verdicts + typed/fallback
provenance + intra-batch dup detection) and export (residual TagConfigJson)
  over the T0-2 CsvParser/CsvWriter.
- RawTagCsvExportReader: DbContext-backed read helper (no IRawTreeService
extension) enumerating a device's tags + reconstructing group paths.
- RawCsvImportModal + RawCsvExportModal (data-URI download).
- Reflection guard test (typed column -> real model property + batch-plan
  dictionary parity) + export->import round-trip property test.

Joseph Doherty 928e06dd01 review(b2-waveA): /raw auto-expand enterprise roots; friendly create-race + delete failures; auth-guard classifies /raw + dev demo
Wave-A reviewer findings (no Critical/High):
- M-2: GlobalRaw auto-expands Enterprise roots so the Cluster level is visible on load (mirrors GlobalUns.ExpandStructural); clusters stay lazily collapsed.
- L-1: create mutations route SaveChanges through SaveCreateAsync — a lost sibling-name race (filtered-unique-index clash) becomes a friendly failure instead of an uncaught DbUpdateException.
- L-2: SaveDeleteAsync no longer leaks raw EF/SQL text; operator-friendly guidance.
- L-5: RawNode.ChildCount doc clarified (direct children only).
- Regression fix: PageAuthorizationGuardTests classifies the two new routable pages (/raw → ConfigEditor, /dev/context-menu-demo → AuthenticatedRead).
M-1 (ordinal vs SQL-collation sibling uniqueness) assessed benign: name indexes use the DB default collation and the server-side pre-check runs under that same collation, so pre-check and index agree — no case-variant rows can coexist, so runtime ordinal RawPath keying never collides.

Joseph Doherty 6a616a1ab2 test(adminui): migrate AdminUI.Tests to v3 greenfield schema + Batch-1 stubs
Migrate tests/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.AdminUI.Tests (was 358 build errors) to
the v3 Raw-only Tag schema and the Batch-1 AdminUI stubs. Production untouched.

- Driver-page serialization tests: drop the retired pre-declared Tags editor
(page *TagRow types + DriverOptions.Tags); multi-device pages keep their
  Devices editor (ToOptions(devices)). Enum-serialization round-trip coverage
  (CpuType/ModbusFamily/MelsecFamily/AbCipPlcFamily/AbLegacyPlcFamily/FocasCncSeries)
  preserved intact.
- UnsTreeTestDb: reseed to v3 (Device->Tag raw slice, no EquipmentId/DriverInstanceId
  on Tag, no Namespace).
- UnsTreeService tag tests: assert Batch-1 stubs (CreateTag/UpdateTag refusal,
empty tag/tag-driver lists); DeleteTag stays live against a raw Tag.
- Equipment #122 guard retained (validates input driver vs line cluster); drop the
  retired persisted-binding assertions + NamespaceId seeds. Area/Line #122 driver-
orphan guard retired -> assert cross-cluster move now succeeds.
- DeleteCluster: drop the deleted-Namespace child-check test.
- OpcUaClientTagConfigModel/TagConfigValidator: address key FullName -> nodeId.
- ScriptTagCatalog: project surviving Name/DataType/TagConfig; DriverInstanceId null.
- VirtualTag {{equip}} equipment-tag-derived base is dark -> 3 tests skipped (Batch-3).

Result: build green; 507 passed / 3 skipped / 0 failed.

Task 9: DiscoverTreeAsync UntilStable settle loop (FOCAS) — re-capture on a 1s interval until

Joseph Doherty 0b4b2e4cfd refactor(historian-gateway): retire Wonderware historian projects (gateway is sole backend)
The HistorianGateway driver is now the sole historian read/write+alarm backend, so the
Wonderware sidecar projects are dead code. Removes the 5 Wonderware projects (driver,
.Client, .Client.Contracts, + their 2 test projects) from the solution and tree, and fully
retires the vestigial 'Historian.Wonderware' driver type (UI/probe-only; it had no driver
factory): the Host probe registration, the AdminUI driver-config surface (driver page,
tag-config editor/model/validator entry, address picker/builder, driver-type catalog +
dropdown + edit-router entries), and their tests. Prunes the now-unused Wonderware
connection fields (Host/Port/UseTls/ServerCertThumbprint/SharedSecret) from
AlarmHistorianOptions (keeping Enabled + the SQLite store-and-forward knobs) and refreshes
the stale XML docs that named Wonderware as the production backend.

Joseph Doherty a0dccbf8ee test(drivers): tighten driver-page converter guard + clarify S7 numeric case
Code-review follow-ups: the page-coverage test now asserts every *DriverPage
declares a _jsonOpts serializer (so a new page that serialises config a
different way fails the guard, not just converter removal); clarify that 40 ==
(int)S7CpuType.S71500 in the numeric-throws test.
2026-06-19 05:06:43 -04:00
Joseph Doherty 4b14feb373 fix(drivers): serialize driver-config enums as strings in AdminUI pages + probes
AdminUI driver-instance pages serialized enum config fields (S7 CpuType,
Modbus DataType/Region, AbCip PlcFamily, ...) as JSON *numbers* because each
page's _jsonOpts lacked a JsonStringEnumConverter. The driver factories,
however, deserialize into string-typed DTOs (+ lenient ParseEnum) and throw
when binding a JSON number to a string? — so an AdminUI-authored config
containing any enum field produced a blob the driver could not parse,
faulting the driver on deploy. Proven end-to-end for S7 and Modbus; latent
for AbCip/AbLegacy/TwinCAT/FOCAS/Galaxy/Historian. Only OpcUaClient was safe
(its factory + probe already carried the converter).

Add JsonStringEnumConverter to all 9 driver-instance pages' _jsonOpts and the
8 missing driver probes' _opts (factories unchanged — already string-via-
ParseEnum; strictly more permissive, also lets pages load hand-seeded
string-enum configs back into the form).

Also fix DriverProbeHandshakeE2eTests.AbCip_Green_AgainstSim to probe a real
sim tag (TestDINT) — the no-tags @raw_cpu_type fallback is rejected by the
ab_server sim with ErrorBadParam (a real ControlLogix returns ErrorNotFound,
which the probe treats as reachable; hardware-gated follow-up).

Tests: reflection guard over all driver pages' _jsonOpts (AdminUI.Tests);
factory round-trip + numeric-form-throws guards for S7 and Modbus.

Found by running the never-before-run FB-9/FB-10 live verifies.
