Add XML doc comments to public properties across EventTypes, Connz, Varz,
NatsOptions, StreamConfig, IStreamStore, FileStore, MqttListener,
MqttSessionStore, MessageTraceContext, and JetStreamApiResponse. Fix flaky
tests by increasing timing margins (ResponseTracker expiry 1ms→50ms,
sleep 50ms→200ms) and document known flaky test patterns in tests.md.
Implement Go-parity background flush loop (coalesce 16KB/8ms) in MsgBlock/FileStore,
replace O(n) GetStateAsync with incremental counters, skip PruneExpired/LoadAsync/
PrunePerSubject when not needed, and bypass RAFT for single-replica streams. Fix counter
tracking bugs in RemoveMsg/EraseMsg/TTL expiry and ObjectDisposedException races in
flush loop disposal. FileStore optimizations verified with 3112/3112 JetStream tests
passing; async publish benchmark remains at ~174 msg/s due to E2E protocol path bottleneck.
Add WebSocket listener support to NatsServer alongside the existing TCP
listener. When WebSocketOptions.Port >= 0, the server binds a second
socket, performs HTTP upgrade via WsUpgrade.TryUpgradeAsync, wraps the
connection in WsConnection for transparent frame/deframe, and hands it
to the standard NatsClient pipeline.
Changes:
- NatsClient: add IsWebSocket and WsInfo properties
- NatsServer: add RunWebSocketAcceptLoopAsync and AcceptWebSocketClientAsync,
WS listener lifecycle in StartAsync/ShutdownAsync/Dispose
- NatsOptions: change WebSocketOptions.Port default from 0 to -1 (disabled)
- WsConnection.ReadAsync: fix premature end-of-stream when ReadFrames
returns no payloads by looping until data is available
- Add WsIntegration tests (connect, ping, pub/sub over WebSocket)
- Add WsConnection masked frame and end-of-stream unit tests
Covers 6 implementation layers: ClientKind enum + INatsClient interface,
event infrastructure with Channel<T>, system event publishing, request-reply
monitoring services, import/export model with ACCOUNT client, and response
routing with latency tracking.
Adds LogOverrides property to NatsOptions and a --log_level_override=namespace=level CLI flag that wires Serilog MinimumLevel.Override entries so operators can tune verbosity per .NET namespace without changing the global log level.
Adds 10 new fields to NatsOptions (ClientAdvertise, TraceVerbose, MaxTracedMsgLen,
DisableSublistCache, ConnectErrorReports, ReconnectErrorReports, NoHeaderSupport,
MaxClosedClients, NoSystemAccount, SystemAccount) plus InCmdLine tracking set.
Moves MaxClosedClients from a private constant in NatsServer to a configurable option.
Introduces NATS.Server.Tls.OcspMode (Auto/Always/Must/Never matching
Go ocsp.go constants) and OcspConfig with Mode and OverrideUrls. Adds
OcspConfig? and OcspPeerVerify to NatsOptions for stapling configuration
and peer certificate revocation checking. Covered by 12 new unit tests.
Reconcile close reason tracking: feature branch's MarkClosed() and
ShouldSkipFlush/FlushAndCloseAsync now use main's ClientClosedReason
enum. ClosedState enum retained for forward compatibility.
- Make ConnectReceived thread-safe with Volatile.Read/Write (accessed from auth timeout task and command pipeline)
- Include authTimeoutTask in Task.WhenAny to propagate exceptions
- Clear nonce after authentication with CryptographicOperations.ZeroMemory

Add FrameworkReference to Microsoft.AspNetCore.App to enable Kestrel
Minimal APIs for the monitoring HTTP server. Remove the now-redundant
Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.Abstractions PackageReference (it is
included transitively via the framework reference).
Add monitoring config properties (MonitorPort, MonitorHost,
MonitorBasePath, MonitorHttpsPort) and TLS config properties (TlsCert,
TlsKey, TlsCaCert, TlsVerify, TlsHandshakeFirst, etc.) to NatsOptions.
Add TlsRequired, TlsVerify, and TlsAvailable fields to ServerInfo so
the server can advertise TLS capability in the INFO protocol message.
