MTConnectTagConfigModel read `dataType` with TagConfigJson.GetEnum, which falls
back to String on ANY unrecognised value. A misspelled name ("Strng") from a
hand-authored blob, a CSV import or the API was therefore accepted at authoring
and silently rewritten, while the driver's strict parse rejected it and the tag
died with BadNodeIdUnknown. Found by the G-7 parity tests' falsifiability
control, which had to use the digits-only shape to have a case that failed.
The rule is not restated in the AdminUI. MTConnectTagDefinitionFactory exposes
its parse as `IsAcceptedDataTypeName`, documented as the one authority the
driver, the deploy gate and the authoring model all consult; the model's
Validate() asks it about the raw value the blob carries. The old digits-only
message is NOT retained as a special case: the runtime draws no distinction
between a bare number and a typo — one predicate, one Inspect warning — so a
second message here would be a second statement of a rule this model does not
own. The raw value is captured as the JSON TOKEN, because the runtime
deserialises the key into a `string?` DTO field and an unquoted number throws
there too.
The survey found the same asymmetry at six more editors, contrary to the
assumption that those runtimes silently default: R2-11 Phase C moved every
driver's TagConfig enum read to TagConfigJson.TryReadEnumStrict, which REJECTS
the tag on a present-but-invalid string, while the editors kept loading them
with a silent fallback. Modbus (region/dataType/byteOrder), S7, AbCip, AbLegacy,
TwinCAT and FOCAS now check their enums in Validate() through the runtime's own
TagConfigJson.DescribeInvalidEnumText — added alongside a public
ClassifyEnumText that TryReadEnum now delegates to, so the JSON-token door and
the string door reach one implementation. Mqtt and Sql already carried
equivalent strict checks and are untouched.
Care taken NOT to become stricter than the runtime: a present-but-non-string
token stays accepted for those six (TryReadEnum calls it absent), as does an
absent key, each pinned by a test.
Also adds a direct ProjectReference to Core.Abstractions from the AdminUI — the
save gate now leans on a type it was consuming only transitively.
Pulled forward from stage 7 because without it the feature is unusable and
un-live-gateable: there was no way to create a key short of hand-inserting a row
and computing an HMAC by hand.
The minting logic is an IApiKeyAdminService in Core.Authorization, NOT logic in
the Razor page — this repo has no bUnit, so anything only a page can reach is
untestable, and minting credentials is not where that belongs. The page is a thin
shell over it.
Moved to Core.Authorization so both ends can reach them: ApiKeyOptions (was in
Host) and OpcUaPrincipals (was in OpcUaServer.Security). The OPC UA server
resolves principals; the AdminUI must refuse to mint a key claiming a reserved
one. OpcUaServer already gained a Core reference in stage 1b, so no new edge —
AdminUI gains one.
ApiKeyOptions is now bound UNCONDITIONALLY rather than in the driver branch: a
driver node needs the pepper to VERIFY keys and an admin node needs it to MINT
them, and getting that wrong on either side is a silent authentication failure
rather than a startup error.
Validation rules, all covered: the reserved 'anonymous' principal is refused
case-insensitively (so "ANONYMOUS" cannot slip past into a distinct principal
that the evaluator would then match case-INsensitively against anonymous's
grants); blank name/principal; a principal longer than the column, rejected
rather than truncated, because silent truncation yields a key that authenticates
and is granted nothing with no visible cause; a past expiry. Generation runs
BEFORE the DbContext is opened so an unconfigured pepper surfaces as a clear
error instead of a stored row whose hash nothing can verify.
The page shows the plaintext ONCE and says so; it is held in component state and
written nowhere else, because the server keeps only a hash. Revocation is flagged
in the UI as taking effect only after the next deployment — driver-only nodes
have no ConfigDb, so keys ride the artifact.
FleetAdmin-only (Administrator), not ConfigEditor: this mints credentials.
Core.Tests 68 green.

`Driver.Sql.Browser` referenced the runtime `Driver.Sql` project. The AdminUI
references that browser, so the whole SQL driver runtime — and
`ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Core` through it — sat in the AdminUI's build/deploy graph.
This is the same layering violation #512 removed from the MQTT browser, in a
second driver, and it is why #512's expected removal of `Core.dll` from the
AdminUI's output did not happen.
MEASURED, both directions, on a clean AdminUI build:
before: ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Core.dll + ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Driver.Sql.dll present
after: both absent
The old csproj comment's premise was sound and survives — the dialect's catalog
SQL *is* the browse engine, so it must be shared rather than duplicated. What
was wrong was the conclusion that sharing it required referencing the runtime
driver. `ISqlDialect`/`SqlServerDialect` depend on nothing in `Driver.Sql`, so
they move to a `.Dialect` leaf that both consume.
This is the `.Transport` shape, not the cheap one: `ISqlDialect` exposes
`DbProviderFactory` and `SqlServerDialect` returns `SqlClientFactory.Instance`,
so `.Contracts` (deliberately provider-free) cannot hold them. Assembly name is
`.Dialect`; the NAMESPACE stays `ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Driver.Sql`, matching the
`Driver.Mqtt.Transport` precedent — the extraction cost zero `using` changes.
Two dependencies the cut edge surfaced as the implicit ones they were:
- The AdminUI itself read `SqlDriver.DriverTypeName` in three places — the tag
editor map, the tag config validator, and the Sql address picker. All three
now read `DriverTypeNames.Sql`, which is exactly what that constant resolves
to and exactly the repoint `SqlDriverBrowser`'s own comment had deferred
until a factory was registered against the shared constant. One exists now.
- `SqlDriverFormContractTests` asserts the AdminUI form's emitted JSON against
the runtime factory that reads it, so it genuinely needs the runtime driver.
`AdminUI.Tests` now references it explicitly. A test project referencing a
runtime driver is fine — tests are not in the AdminUI's deploy graph.
New guard: `DriverBrowserLayeringTests` (Commons.Tests) scans the csproj graph
of every `*.Browser` project in the tree, transitively. It reads csproj files
rather than loaded assemblies because the cost is a build-graph cost — the
compiler emits no assembly reference for an unused `ProjectReference`, so
`MqttBrowserLayeringTests`' assembly-reference approach cannot see that case.
The two are complementary and each now points at the other.
Falsified three ways, each red then green again: the direct reference re-added
to the browser; the same reference one hop out via `.Dialect` (proving the walk
is really transitive); and both controls — browsers-discovered and
references-parsed — which exist so an empty discovery cannot pass the absence
assertion vacuously.
#526's claim that the reference "carries no comment at all" was wrong; it
carried a detailed one from the scaffold commit. Corrected on the issue and in
the design doc's project table, which had recorded the deviation as deliberate.

MTConnectTagConfigModel: pure FromJson/ToJson/Validate for the MTConnect
tag TagConfig JSON blob, mirroring ModbusTagConfigModel/OpcUaClientTagConfigModel.
Fields: fullName (DataItem@id, required), dataType (DriverDataType override,
written as an enum name string), mtCategory/mtType/mtSubType/units (probe
metadata), mtDevice/mtComponent (author context). Preserves unknown JSON
keys across load->save (isHistorized/historianTagname and anything else).
Guards against the enum-serialization trap (numeric dataType would fault the
driver at deploy) both on write (always TagConfigJson.Set via enum name) and
on read (Validate() rejects a dataType that was stored as a bare digit
string, since Enum.TryParse silently accepts numeric text).
AdminUI.csproj gains a ProjectReference to Driver.MTConnect.Contracts,
matching the existing POCO-only driver-Contracts pattern used by the other
six typed tag editors.
Scope: pure model only (Task 17). The razor editor shell + TagConfigEditorMap/
TagConfigValidator registration is Task 18.
Wires the bespoke MqttDriverBrowser into AdminUI's IDriverBrowser
registrations alongside OpcUaClient/Galaxy, overriding the universal
DiscoveryDriverBrowser fallback for driverType "Mqtt".
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GASWkNEi68FSCtvr6rLoEW
Register SqlDriverBrowser as an IDriverBrowser beside the OpcUaClient/Galaxy
lines, project-reference Driver.Sql.Browser, and add SqlAddressPickerBody.razor:
a DriverBrowseTree schema/table/column picker (DriverOperator-gated) with a
column attribute side-panel, manual-entry model/selector fields retained, that
composes the per-tag TagConfig blob (KeyValue / WideRow) matched to
SqlEquipmentTagParser. Pasted ad-hoc connection strings are session-only and
never persisted into the composed blob or driver config.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GASWkNEi68FSCtvr6rLoEW
Adopt the ZB.MOM.WW.Secrets library (0.1.2, Gitea feed) into OtOpcUa under CPM:
- Directory.Packages.props + NuGet.config source mapping for the three packages
- Host/AdminUI/Driver.Galaxy.Contracts/Driver.OpcUaClient package references
- Layer-A pre-host ${secret:} config expander in Host/Program.cs, placed after all
config providers assemble and before the first config read (mechanism only,
behavior-neutral no-op until Task 4 introduces tokens)
- Secrets section in appsettings.json (env-var KEK, SQLite store, 30s cache TTL)
Mechanism mirrors the proven HistorianGateway adoption. KEK never committed.
The HistorianGateway driver is now the sole historian read/write+alarm backend, so the
Wonderware sidecar projects are dead code. Removes the 5 Wonderware projects (driver,
.Client, .Client.Contracts, + their 2 test projects) from the solution and tree, and fully
retires the vestigial 'Historian.Wonderware' driver type (UI/probe-only; it had no driver
factory): the Host probe registration, the AdminUI driver-config surface (driver page,
tag-config editor/model/validator entry, address picker/builder, driver-type catalog +
dropdown + edit-router entries), and their tests. Prunes the now-unused Wonderware
connection fields (Host/Port/UseTls/ServerCertThumbprint/SharedSecret) from
AlarmHistorianOptions (keeping Enabled + the SQLite store-and-forward knobs) and refreshes
the stale XML docs that named Wonderware as the production backend.

All five suppressed advisories are now resolved at baseline/resolved versions,
so every NuGetAuditSuppress is removed repo-wide:
- System.Security.Cryptography.Xml (GHSA-37gx-xxp4-5rgx / GHSA-w3x6-4m5h-cxqf)
-> fixed by the .NET 10 baseline (10.0.6)
- OPCFoundation Opc.Ua.Core (GHSA-h958-fxgg-g7w3) -> fixed at resolved 1.5.378.106
Two were still live and are now patched via direct security pins:
- OpenTelemetry.Api 1.9.0 -> 1.15.3 (GHSA-g94r-2vxg-569j) pinned in Cluster;
Runtime/ControlPlane/AdminUI + tests inherit via project reference
- Tmds.DBus.Protocol 0.20.0 -> 0.21.3 (GHSA-xrw6-gwf8-vvr9) pinned in Client.UI
Also correct the Historian sidecar runtime comments (x86 -> x64, matching the
csproj PlatformTarget). Solution audit: 0 vulnerable packages; full build clean.
Wires the POCO-only driver contracts into the AdminUI csproj so the
9 typed *DriverPage.razor components from Phase 4 can compile against
the real Options classes without dragging native driver deps in.
Final F15 batch wires up the SignalR-backed live pages, ports the bulk
equipment importer, and progressively enhances the Script source editor
with Monaco.
Message contracts:
- Commons.Messages.Alerts.AlarmTransitionEvent — fires on every alarm
state transition; published on the `alerts` DPS topic by future
ScriptedAlarmActor (F9) emits.
- Commons.Messages.Logging.ScriptLogEntry — one log line emitted by a
hosted script; published on the `script-logs` DPS topic by future
VirtualTagActor (F8) + ScriptedAlarmActor (F9) emits.
(Folder named "Logging" to dodge .gitignore's "logs/" rule.)
SignalR plumbing:
- AlertHub gains MethodName + bridge actor (AlertSignalRBridge)
- ScriptLogHub introduced; ScriptLogSignalRBridge follows the same
DPS-subscribe → IHubContext fan-out pattern as FleetStatusSignalRBridge
- WithOtOpcUaSignalRBridges now spawns all three bridges
- MapOtOpcUaHubs maps /hubs/script-log alongside the existing hubs
Pages:
- /alerts live alarm tail, 200-row capacity
- /script-log live script-log tail with level + script
filter, 500-row capacity
- /clusters/{id}/equipment/import — CSV bulk Equipment add with preview
(Name/MachineCode/UnsLineId/Driver +
optional ZTag/SAPID/Manufacturer/Model;
skips rows whose MachineCode already
exists in the fleet)
- ScriptEdit progressively enhanced with Monaco editor via JSInterop —
the textarea remains Blazor's source of truth and Monaco syncs into it
on every keystroke so @bind keeps working; falls back gracefully if
the CDN is unreachable.
MainLayout nav gains a "Live" section (Deployments, Alerts, Alarms
historian) and a "Scripts" link under Scripting. ClusterEquipment
surfaces the new Import CSV button.
Tally: F15 ships ~42 razor pages + 3 SignalR hubs + 3 bridge actors.
Microsoft.AspNetCore.SignalR.Client added (was already in central PM).
All 104 v2 tests remain green.
- ClusterAudit (/clusters/{id}/audit) — reads ConfigAuditLog with the
EventId/CorrelationId columns added in F3; shown as a Cluster tab
- VirtualTags (/virtual-tags) — fleet-wide read view
- ScriptedAlarms (/scripted-alarms) — fleet-wide read view
- Scripts (/scripts) — fleet-wide; expandable code preview
- RoleGrants (/role-grants) — per Q4, surfaces the fleet-wide
LDAP-group → role mapping from
Authentication:Ldap:GroupToRole
(read-only; reload via host restart)
- Certificates (/certificates) — own/trusted/issuer/rejected store
contents resolved against
OpcUa:PkiStoreRoot config (F13a)
- Reservations (/reservations) — ExternalIdReservation table
- AlarmsHistorian (/alarms-historian) — live HistorianAdapterActor sink
status via the F11 GetStatus query;
5s polling
ScriptLog deferred (needs the F16-deferred ScriptLogHub bridge).
ClusterNav extended with the Audit tab.
Adds an AdminUI → Runtime project reference so the historian status page can
inject IRequiredActor<HistorianAdapterActorKey>. NuGet audit suppression for
the transitive Opc.Ua.Core advisory mirrored from the Runtime project.
All 104 v2 tests still green.
Adds the empty project skeletons that subsequent v2 tasks fill in:
src/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Commons (types, interfaces, message contracts)
src/Core/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Cluster (Akka.Hosting + cluster wiring)
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Security (cookie+JWT auth, LDAP)
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.ControlPlane (admin-role cluster singletons)
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Runtime (per-node driver actors)
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.OpcUaServer (OPC UA SDK application host)
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.AdminUI (Razor class library)
src/Server/ZB.MOM.WW.OtOpcUa.Host (single fused web binary)
Each project sets TreatWarningsAsErrors=true in its own csproj (per the
Directory.Build.props deviation note in the previous commit). NuGetAuditSuppress
entries cover transitive vulnerability advisories the new strictness surfaces:
- GHSA-g94r-2vxg-569j (OpenTelemetry.Api 1.9.0 via Akka.Cluster.Hosting/Tools)
- GHSA-h958-fxgg-g7w3 (Opc.Ua.Core 1.5.374.126 via OpcUaServer)
- GHSA-37gx-xxp4-5rgx + GHSA-w3x6-4m5h-cxqf (legacy advisories already accepted)
OpcUaServer pins OPCFoundation.NetStandard.Opc.Ua.Configuration to 1.5.374.126
via VersionOverride to match Opc.Ua.Server's transitive Opc.Ua.Core (same
constraint as the legacy Server project).
Runtime does NOT project-reference any concrete Driver.* assemblies; drivers
load reflectively at runtime (Phase 6). Runtime gets the IDriver contract
through Core.Abstractions instead.
Host's Microsoft.Extensions.Hosting.WindowsServices is conditional on the
Windows OS so the project builds on macOS dev machines.
Build verification: dotnet build -> 438 warnings (all pre-existing xUnit1051
in legacy Server.Tests/Admin.Tests), 0 errors. Closes Task 9 (build green
smoke check, no separate commit).
