Surface inbound API method compile errors to operators (api-method validate / recompile) #75

Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
When an inbound method's script fails to compile, callers get a generic
Script compilation failed for this method(correct for the data plane). The real Roslyn diagnostic goes only to the central log, which on the wonder boxes means remote log access. There is noapi-method validate, and the_knownBadMethodscache inInboundScriptExecutorcannot be observed or reset per method. A direct DB edit keeps serving the failure until a full-replaceUpdateApiMethodor a restart.Suggested fix:
api-method validate --idbacked by a role-gated managementValidateApiMethodCommandthat returns diagnostics (mirrortemplate validate).LastCompileError+IsKnownBadonapi-method get.api-method recompile --id(RecompileApiMethodCommand) to re-runCompileAndRegisterwithout re-sending the entity.Current state: still open. A grep of
src/forValidateApiMethod|RecompileApiMethod|LastCompileError|IsKnownBadreturns nothing.Source:
