Joseph Doherty 513fa1aa16 docs(tests): fix CommentChecker findings across tests/ — 13,392 → 0 (repo-wide scan clean)
Comment/XML-doc changes only:
- add summaries to ~10k test methods, fixtures, fakes and helpers
(+ <param> on theories, <returns> on async Task methods,
<inheritdoc/> on interface implementations the checker can resolve)
- strip ~2.6k project-tracking references (WP*, P*-*, row-NN, Task N,
  #NN, Component-0NN) from comments, keeping the explanatory text;
reword false positives in comments only
- real docs on fakes implementing BCL/library interfaces
  (IDisposable, ILogger, IOptionsMonitor, IAsyncLifetime)
- reword the last 5 src/ false positives (CWE-1236, failures-1,
  year-0001, M365)

Only non-comment edits: four one-line nested classes split across lines
so members can carry docs. Build 0 errors / 0 warnings.

Joseph Doherty e9c412e528 fix(host): unhandled boot exception now kills the process instead of wedging the container (#34)
Root cause: dotnet runs as container PID 1 and Linux ignores default-action
signals sent to PID 1, so the runtime's unhandled-exception path (banner,
then abort() -> SIGABRT) could never terminate the process — it printed the
trace and spun the main thread at 100% CPU with the container `running`,
so `restart: unless-stopped` never fired. Reproduced deterministically:
same StartupValidator throw exits 134 under an init process and wedges
without one.

Two layers, each covering the other's gap:
- Program.cs registers an AppDomain.UnhandledException handler before the
first statement that can throw: prints the trace, best-effort flushes
Serilog, Environment.Exit(134) — exit() is a syscall PID 1 CAN perform,
134 preserves the 128+SIGABRT crash code, and it covers every thread,
not just the boot window. It cannot fire under WebApplicationFactory
(the test host catches entry-point exceptions), so the designed
boot-refusal exceptions still propagate to tests unchanged.
- docker-compose: init: true on all 8 nodes for the crash paths that
bypass the managed event (Environment.FailFast, runtime-internal aborts).

The CoordinatedShutdown no-Environment.Exit guard gains a precise carve-out
(exactly one call, only inside the handler); Environment.Exit still fires
the CLR shutdown hook Akka binds via run-by-clr-shutdown-hook = on, so the
crash path skips nothing abort() kept. New pin test keeps the handler ahead
of the configuration build.

Live-verified on the rig image: crash now yields Exited (134) +
RestartCount climbing under `unless-stopped`, trace intact, with and
without init; full 8-node rig redeployed healthy with docker-init as PID 1.

Closes #34.

Joseph Doherty d2a6107cdb test(host): serialize Central-boot fixtures to close env-var race
CentralDbTestEnvironment sets five process-wide environment variables, and
Program's AddEnvironmentVariables() reads them at an unpredictable point during
host boot. With xUnit collection parallelization on, one fixture's teardown
could clear a var mid-boot for a sibling. Since the secrets adoption (G-4)
three of those keys are ${secret:...} references that fail closed, turning a
previously benign empty value into a SecretNotFoundException that aborts the
boot — an intermittent CI failure.

Adds a HostBootCollection that serializes every fixture booting a real host
while depending on that shared state, folding in the narrower "ActorSystem"
collection so its members stay serialized with each other as before. Site-role
fixtures stay parallel: they call Configuration.Sources.Clear(), dropping the
env-var provider, so they cannot participate in the race.

CentralDbTestEnvironment now also fails fast if two instances are ever live at
once, making a regression (a fixture added outside the collection) deterministic
rather than intermittent — this is what surfaced the disposed-CTS defect fixed
in the previous commit. Fixture teardown is try/finally so a throwing host
teardown can no longer strand the vars for the rest of the run.

Cost: Host.Tests runs ~2m30s -> ~4m10s; the serialized Central-boot classes are
most of the assembly's parallelism.

Joseph Doherty 4a0462e4d0 fix(options): validate Host Node/Database/Logging options at startup — empty NodeName fails fast instead of NULLing SourceNode (plan R2-08 T7, arch-review 08r2 NF4) 2026-07-13 10:49:42 -04:00
Joseph Doherty 7b0b9c7365 refactor: rename ScadaLink → ZB.MOM.WW.ScadaBridge (code + projects + namespaces)
Solution + 23 src projects + 26 test projects renamed; folders, csproj,
namespaces, and ScadaLinkDbContext/ScadaBridgeDbContext class updated.
ActorSystem "scadalink" → "scadabridge", Akka seed-node URLs migrated.
SQL roles/logins, LDAP domains, CLI command name, and CLI config dir
(~/.scadalink → ~/.scadabridge) also renamed.

Build green; 5 Host.Tests fail awaiting SQL login rename in next commit.
Pre-existing StaleTagMonitor timing flakes unchanged.

Rename script committed at tools/rename-to-scadabridge.sh.
